I can connect to the internet while im in the house no problems using wi fi from my router.However I cannot get a 3g connection when im out and about,cant even find on the phone anywhere to activate it.I have 500mb free internet a month but cant connect to it,any help appreciated.Probably something stupid but im new to this smartphone business.

Your SIM might not be 3G.

Have you had it a while?? Her PAYG sim was years old and a quick visit to an o2 shop resolved the problem for free.

Only got the phone on contract on Monday,had my number switched over from PAYG so I could keep the number.Thanks anyway but I dont think thats the problem.

Your account is not 3G enabled? I remember having to get the SIM swap done and then call up to enable 3G usage.

or i'd guess at that it's just crap signal where you are.
