What's for Dinner tonight? (Part 4)
Quote:
These days I prefer a thin crust with only a couple of toppings.
I got a pizza stone before christmas from morrisons as it was reduced to £5 and it's worked well so far. I also use semolina. Here is the recipe I follow (i've found that a little extra water is needed) http://www.food.com/recipe/perfect-p...7348?scaleto=1 and here is a simple tomato sauce I knocked up the other week The sauce (IIRC) 1xtin of chopped tomatoes (drained) 2xtsp tomato puree 2xtsp olive oil for the rest I used a 1/8tsp measure 1x chilli powder 1x sugar 1x black pepper 1x salt 1x onion salt 2x garlic salt 2x dried oregano 1x balsamic vinegar You may want to adjust it if you want it more tomatoey, more sweet (sugar), more sharp (vinegar), less pungent (onion/garlic/oregano). You could also add a tsp of ketchup. |
