Yes, really. The download link is all over the internet, it's physically possible to download and run it, therefore it's here. You appear to be failing to grasp this

Wrong!
It's here for everyone. Whether people choose to download it or not is a seperate issue. If people choose not to download it that doesn't suddenly remove the fact that it's here.
I'll help you understand with a simplified example,
Imagine me in 2010 saying the new Porche 911 is here. You turn around and say it's not here for most of us that can't afford to buy one. That would be incorrect. The affordability would be irrelevant in the case of it being 'here' or not.
The choice to download it or not is down to the individual. The fact is that Gingerbread is here and available right now for the Desire HD.

Then your own assumptions have let you down. I stated that Gingerbread is here for the Desire HD, which it is. There is now a working version of Gingerbread for the HTC Desire available publicly, making it 'here'.

I'm certainly not cross with you, I'm just amused at your lack of ability to grasp a simple fact that as you clearly display above. Trying to deny something being 'here', something being available when it clearly is just because you choose not to download it in it's current form.
The thread is not misleading. It points out that Gingerbread is available for the Desire HD and yes, it's available for the Desire HD.

I think you'd better quite now because this denial in the face of fact is only making you look ridiculously silly
For those of us with common sense who read the article and realise that it's possible to download Gingerbread for the Desire HD and have it run on the Desire HD it's clear that it's 'here'. However you continue to insist it's not. Brilliant!
Anyway, back on topic now we've had Thine Wonk's incorrect drivel disrupt the flow, has anyone else tried Gingerbread on the DHD yet? I'm keen to know more if we can stop being rudely interrupted
