I still do not know what the icons on the right hand side of the media screen mean.

2.What does Enc mean?

1, Guidence (scences of a sexual nature and swearing)
2, Encoded.

Enc = Encrypted.

Technically, all video (or audio or text, for that matter) is encoded into a format suitable for transmission.

Encrypted implies that the information has been processed in a way that means you cannot use it without a key. (The key here is stored in and unique to each box.)

This means that any programme with the 'enc' indicator cannot be played on anything other than the box on which it was recorded.
