Upgrade coming up
Hi guys,
Am after your ideas please. First time i've had a contract phone and its up for renewal in about 3 weeks, for which i'm looking at upgrading. Pretty much have 2 questions. 1) Suggest me a phone (I'm liking the look of the samsung galaxy and the htc range- are these any good and if not, what to look at instead) 2) contract with 02, now they've got rid of the whole free 02-02 calls (apart from business tariffs), and the shop's telling me I need to phone them and they *may* let me have the bolt-on to keep me. Shop can't overide HQ. Is it going to take a lot of aggro and threatening of flouncing to get them to do it, or are they generally alright? ta in advance,

I would get the Nokia N8 as it looks to me to be the best smart. Phone currently on the Market. If I was able to get one then I would.
Also it has a 12MP camera which has a propper flash and HD video recording which is amazing for a mobile phone and it is good to be a bit diffrent and get a diffrent smart phone that is not an iPhone as most people who are getting a smart phone on contract just seem to go for an iPhone. If you would like to make phone call to someone who is on the same network as you then you could leave O2 and try moving to another network and see which networks offer free calls to other people on the same network. Good luck and I hope that you find the right contact mobile phone for you. And when you do please tell us what you went for. |

Depends on how much you want to spend. i been offered the HTC wildfire by vodafone, i eventually said ok, but it is out of stock now, os I have to wait. I doubt i will keep it, I got 7 days to send it back after it comes.
If you are into smart phones then the HTC range looks pretty good, the wildfire is a budget one. Best thing is to make a list, how much you want to pay and what you are going to use the phone for. |

I already have an ipod touch, so it would be pointless. |

N8 Best on market????
Stupidly high returns rate Lacks meaningful power Runs an OS that's been dropped in favour of the awful windows mobile Ok so it does have a good camera. Plenty of phones record in HD by the way. If you are happy to wait a few additional weeks then the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S2 looks like it has the potential to be phone of the year for 2011. There is always iPhone in June but rumours suggest it wont be a much more than an evolutionary update |

You could sell the touch and have it all in one device should you get the iPhone.
Personally though iPhone just is not for me, I prefer Modding android handsets |

Had a chat with 02 this morning, and i've decided to go with the Galaxy S, and they've very nicely thrown in the 02-02 as well. Getting a better deal for £3 less a month. ![]() Phone should be with me tomorrow or Friday. Thanks again for your help. |
