Surprised who's top? I am, it doesn't feel like he's appeared that much. Kirk and Mary need to be used more, far too few appearances from them so far.

Thats really interesting thanks! surprised that Lloyd is top although he has been in a fair few storylines and has had his mates in a lot too.

There is a similar thread which did the episode count per year or sth which was very fascinating.

And on the subject of Bill Webster does anyone know what the deal is with the contract? Or perhaps maybe Peter Armitage is ill or sth..

I did the count last year but lost my data and couldn't be bothered backtracking through 8 months of cast lists, I think someone carried it on for me though. Well done on this though and keep it up

I'm (initially) very shocked about who is top of the list, but when you think about it...the others who you would expect to be there have all been shipped off on holiday at some point this year: Demon Platt, Nick, the Barlows, the MacDonalds...even Tracyluv had a holiday at Weatherfield General..

I'm surprised at Tina being near the top with 31!
it feels she's only been on screen properly since the awful Xin popped up.
But then i suppose she is behind the bar in other peoples scenes aswell.
I've got a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of her aswell

I'm not surprised at Lloyd being top, he's been heavily involved with Cheryl and Chris and the robbery.
He had a few scenes with Becky and Steve recently too....i like Lloyd.
I'm hoping the likes of Roy and Hayley, Tyrone, Emily, Mary, Eileen and Julie make lots more appearances this year.

From upcoming spoilers it seems that Sean, Liz, Steve, Becky, Tracy, Kevin and Sally will be appearing a lot in the next couple of months.

I'm hoping that the Croppers will be used more with the very promising arrival of Roy's domineering mum Sylvie.

Hopefully the awful Xin will be gone once Graeme has made his exit from Weatherfield.

Thanks for doing this, very interesting.

Mary's only been in 6 episodes this year? That's scandalous.

Probably a dumb question but where can I find the cast list for each episode, if you don't mind me asking?

She disappeared for two months! Made one appearance on 6 January, then vanished until 4 March.

IMDb and Corriepedia are both pretty accurate.

Thanks for that list-makes a great read! And I hope someone can keep it up.

The whole of the top 3 surprise me actually, although all 3 are involved in the Rovers drama which is at the centre of the show and none of them have had breaks, whereas some of the bigger stars like Stape, the McDonalds, the Barlows have all had breaks throughout the year so far.

I think it does show how much Collinson favours characters like Lloyd & Sean because they haven't actually had a big plot of their own, yet are used as background characters & in other plots a lot. It doesn't feel like we've seen Sean that much though

Thank you

Thanks for doing the list, too. It's interesting to see and I certainly wouldn't have guessed any of the top three to be where they are! Shocked at Carla, Jason, Eileen, Eddie and Anna, too

I feel like I haven't been paying attention to the show now!
