I ordered a new phone (upgrade) on Wednesday through online chat service. The guy said its out of stock and they will send it when they have it.

Does anybody know how long this could be. Has anyone else had to wait for a phone to be in stock? When I ring 150 there is no option for me to ask anyone about this.

It's a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question. How long it's out of stock could depend on a load of different things e.g. how popular the phone is, if it's out of stock because of a product recall, how efficient your phone provider's back orders system is.

You could call them and ask when they're expecting more, but I've heard on more than one occasion they'll tell you a date and then move it back until they actually get any in.
