I don't believe there is one, but there should be for some of the most inspirational female artists ever.

I was waiting for one of these!

As I pointed out before on another thread, Left Eye is my favourite out of the group. It's only in the last year I got into them because I was so young when it ended. I don't think I have a favourite album, but I don't like the last one as much.

I'm the same, I was always too young, but I grew up listening to the newer Destiny's Child music, and it soon drifted away, but when Michelle was on Strictly, I got back into them and then discovered TLC, who I had heard of before, just never really listened to as much. My favorites are 'Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg', 'Creep', 'No Scrubs', and probably my all-time favorite is 'Waterfalls'.

Chilli was very good looking and still is, it's hard to believe she is 40, but she probably had the weakest voice, maybe because T-Boz and Left Eye got most of the solos, or that Chilli was more of a dancer.

T-Boz is such a beautiful and soulful singer, and probably had the strongest voice. And what can I say about Left Eye? She was so inspirational to her fans, and promoted safe-sex with the condom she wore, but whether the song was serious (e.g. 'Waterfalls') her raps would represent this. R.I.P.

They all brought something different to the group in performance. Like you said, Chilli was the Showgirl, T-Boz was the the powerhouse vocalist, and Left Eye was a freaking Rockstar. She just had the most attitude and charisma out of the group. Even if it's for a terrible, horrific reason, she's now an absolute Icon.

Agreed, and with their second album CrazySexyCool, you knew where it got the name from - Left Eye being Crazy, Chilli being Sexy and T-Boz being Cool. Left Eye to this day will be the ultimate rapper, and her raps are so meaningful. As you say, she was full of charisma.

Great title. Great album.
I would have to agree with you earlier about Waterfalls, truly fantastic, inspirational song. Very few artists could pull that off.
Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg runs a close second though.

For me it would have to go:
WATERFALLS
CREEP
AIN'T 2 PROUD 2 BEG
NO SCRUBS
TURNTABLE

The music videos they delivered were amazing, aswell. In their earlier ones (Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg, Hat 2 Da Back) they expressed so much fun, and Left Eye with the huge sunglasses, baggy trousers and condom was just so strangely stylish

Then, went they went slower, Creep was also an amazing video, with them all dancing in the pyjamas. Waterfalls was legendary, with them all emerging from the water and dancing in the waterfalls but camouflaging with the water, and the dances they did were incredible. However, my favorite video will always be Turntable, because it was so touching and expressed those final moments of Left Eye's life. How the first minute or so is just them all talking and Left Eye saying 'TLC is forever!' is just incredibly heart-warming. Here's the video for Turntable, will always love it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-WKkcvEngU

Creep is, as Keri Hilson displayed last year, a real moment in their career. I also agree about Turntable, really poignant considering what happened then.

The documentary is so sad. I actually cried at the end. Lisa will be remembered, and is still having an influence on artists today, and is still very much appreciated in the industry. Look at someone like Nicki Minaj - the inspiration is clear in her fashion, and the way she acts.

Destiny's Child are like a less daring TLC. Don't take that the wrong way, I love their stuff, but they've never matched for me, and again, they took inspiration from TLC too. Absolute legends.

I've heard more of Destiny's Child's songs, but I do think TLC's songs are better (e.g. Waterfalls).

Which documentary is this? Is it the Last Days of Left Eye one, because I really want to see that. And if so, what's it like? Worth a watch?

I presume you mean Pretty Girl Rock by Keri Hilson. If so, what a way to tribute them, as it's done so similarly and well.

DC and TLC are both great, I just prefer TLC more. Maybe it has something to do with Beyoncé, and how her DaD pushed her out there before the others.
It is worth a watch, definitely. If you really want to know what Lisa was about, that's the definitive source. I have to warn you though - it pretty much shows her right up until the very end. It is shockingly sad.
Yes! Pretty Girl Rock. She did a good job.

I remember watching a TLC memorial video and someone had commented, 'if Destiny's Child ever had a group member die they'd replace them in days'. I feel as if nobody really respected Beyonce, and they blamed it all on her, where they should have really had a proper manager, because being managed by your own father is dangerously stupid.

I can't find The Last Days of Left Eye anywhere. It's not on Amazon UK, so I guess I would have to resort to YouTube. What makes it shockingly sad? I heard it shows the crash itself, which would probably make me and turn off.

I may get TLC: Now And Forever - The Video Hits, which is a DVD with all of their music videos on, and it would be a great thing to have in my home.

One thing I do suggest is search 'TLC Introduction' on YouTube. It's only about 10 seconds long, but it's from an interview of their's in 1992, and it's so fun and bubbly. Just to think about how that band would be ripped apart is terrible. I do recommend you watch it however, it's brilliant.

It's totally true about DC. If anyone other than Bey had died, they would be replaced, and move on. I feel horrible saying that, but that's the sort of group they were - very much a vehicle for the career of Ms. Knowles.
Yes, the documentary shows pretty much right up to the crash. You would have to have a heart of stone to not tear up. It's terrible viewing.
They seemed to be great in interviews. Some great moments there.

TLC are one of the only R&B acts I can stomach, especially in comparison to today's "efforts".

CrazySexyCool is such a classic album it never gets tiring.

I love how all their albums are very different. I wasn't too impressed with 3D, though. It felt like it was trying to fit in with the R&B scene at the time and felt a bit desperate in places. It did have some great, classic tye TLC songs on it, though (Damaged, Turntable, Girl Talk, Hands Up) but then songs like Dirty Dirty and Over Me were pretty dire at times.

My name is actually in Now and Forever I'm not telling you what it is because the thing I wrote is embarrassing

Michelle was my favorite DC member, because she was funny and charismatic, and actually ditched Matthew as her manager whilst her solo career, showing she was brave and fearless of the consequences.

I wonder what the documentary was supposed to be about then? Because they obviously weren't filming her knowing she was going to die, she must have been making a documentary about her life, yet it turned into one about her death.

Left Eye in interviews was legendary. She made everybody laugh, and she must have been so fun to work with.

What do you mean, in Now and Forever? I know Now and Forever was the album, do you mean your name was in the booklet or something? Don't be embarrassed, nothing can bring down a TLC fan!

The documentary was meant to be a sort of ''Britney Spears: For The Record'' type show, just a sort of look into her life. She filmed most of it with friends.

It's my real name, so I'm not going to tell you

It was something ridiculously cheesy! It was back in 2003 when I was younger and more impressionable.

There was two editions of N&F. One had all the names printed in and the other never.

My CDs are all packed away but when I find it I'll post what I wrote.

If I remember, they asked us to submit a message online and they printed them in the artwork. They done something similar with FanMail.

It's sad that after Lisa died TLC were seemingly left on a hook with Arista (I think they were still with them?). They just didn't seem to care.

After Lisa died the amount of releases I seen from them was terrible. There was about 5,000 versions of their greatest hits, and "Eye Legacy" was an insult to Supernova in my opinion.

I loved some of the solo stuff they all done. Touch Myself by T-Boz, Left Eye and... allsorts. Chili only done a solo single and I think backing vocals for a few people, but nothing I've ever heard.

Wow, I can't wait for you to find it now!

Left Eye's The Block Party is brilliant, and I read that there was a fight between Chilli/T-Boz and Left Eye, because Left Eye wanted them all to do solo albums, and that they would put them together in a 3-CD album called The Challenge, and the winner would win $1,500,000, but the two other girls didn't want to do it.

I read somewhere that Cee Lo Green did backing vocals for Waterfalls. Strange if true!

Yes, Left Eye apparently challenged them to "The Challenge". It wasn't meant to be a proper fight, more of friendly rivalry. In some of her lyrics she talks about why such as:

I Believe In Me

I'm responsible for more than you'll ever know or see
So many things you don't know happened because of me
From Blaque, to the designs of the stage, that was me
So how could any of ya'll be mad at me?
I think Lisa was getting a little bit annoyed that after their debut album her physical input seemed to be a lot less than in the past, but she done a lot more than just add a rap to a few songs. I mean on FanMail she was on about 4 or 5 tracks only! She wasn't actually on No Scrubs on the first release of the album I believe.

By the way, Cee Lo green did indeed perform backing on Waterfalls. TLC had a song with Goodie Mob, which Cee Lo Green was originally a member of. It's actually a great song, called "What It Ain't".

I love the CrazySexyCool album - RnB pop like it used to be done, of a style which became a (gladly) heavy influence on Destiny's Child's first album before things went downhill. Aside from the obvious Creep and Waterfalls, Case Of The Fake People is one of my favourite, grooviest tracks from CSC.

Sumthin' Wicked This Way Comes from CrazySexyCool is probably my favourite song by them. It's genius!
