Have you not been watching?
He was in jail for 3 months and in there, they completely change your head, personality, mood, relationships, feelings and character. |

I don't think he should really because it wouldn't fit with how he is now- he still likes musicals and the like but compared to Charlie Jones's Ben it's being toned down considerably.

The whole Ben storyline is a massive mess - its the scriptwriters and researchers fault for getting things wrong. For starters, he was a schoolboy and would not have gone to an adult jail nor got the penalty they were trying to make out. He was a deaf, bullied child that just defended himself and, in fact, a good lawyer would have got him off. It would have been better if they`d just sent him off to stay with Peggy for a while then brought in an actor who was, at least, similar in appearance to the old Ben. They would then be able to develop the potential that the character had, i.e. following his theatrical, dancing career - to the absolute horror of his father - it would have been great viewing

Ben has morphed from a 4ft Billy Elliot into a 5ft 6 extra from Quadrophenia. I'm not sure how he learned to dress old skool mod in prison or why he aged at least 5 years but I do understand that being incarcerated turned him into a moody withdrawn type rather than a tap dancing Friend of Dorothy. The rest is frankly inexplicable and I keep hoping its not true.

Very good points, he is dressing as if he's in the 50's or 60's isn't he? Its the glasses and his haircut!

He attacked Jordan with a spanner and put him in a coma he was going to serve time regardless. His character had to change in retrospect because there was no way he was going to return the same as he was. He would have being a easy target for bullying so he would had to learn to stand up for himself on his own terms.
