Ouch.

What is happening with Channel 4 at the moment? More often than not lately I'm noticing Channel 5 outperform it in primetime and Channel 4 being rock bottom. I think someone at Channel 4 might be regretting getting rid of Big Brother soon because when that begins on Channel 5, that gap may only increase.

Not staring. Observing.

I haven't yet formed a view as to whether her baps are merely "great" or "magnificent". I think I will have to watch the final episode next week, before making a final decision.

We get Sky Sports 1 though, so could've reported on Masters, and we do report on Monday Night Football. Also if I remember correctly I was being slammed for not including the Grand National, despite posting it on here.

BBC1 performed well yet again between 7.30-10pm. I watched EE last night and was surprised how good it was. It reminded me of Santer's era and it shows there is still hope for the show under Kirkwood. Alarming drop for Candy Cabs, but over 4m is still respectable and it's only 3 episodes long so no worries there. Also I thought it would only premiere with around 4m.

Another pretty poor Tuesday for ITV1. Emmerdale fairly low, although both EE and Emmerdale posted ~1m drops from Monday. Awful for Grimefighters and I think that rating will have sealed its fate. At least Countrywise didn't drop, but I thought it would increase more without Lambing Live and the BBC2 competition won't be any weaker than it was yesterday really, so I can't see it increasing from here. Respectable enough for Smugglers which managed to increase and I agree with rzt that ITV need to set out targetting males on Tuesdays, by airing quality factual programmes, because BBC2 seem to have the majority of the female audience, as well as possibly Ch4.

Some dire ratings again for Ch4. Their good spell really didn't last long at all and I fear for them in the Summer.

Surprising to CSI post yet again another 2m+ audience. This series has really picked up in ratings terms and Ch5 will be happy the decline has halted. Tutankamun did ok considering it was a repeat.

Yes, Channel 4 seemingly having a shocker at the moment.

Sky Living
21:00- Katie: 258k (1.1%)
* series low

And ouch at that. Whatever spin you put on it about being in pay TV homes only, that is not a good rating.

Looks like this particular brand is fading.

I have satisfaction with C4 and its low ratings, I just hope in the summer, C5 can really thrash C4 with Big Brother. Would be perfect. C4 probably can't wait to show Gypsy Wedding's new series I bet!

They will probably schedule a new episode against the BB launch as a spoiler tactic.

C5 needs to keep the date under wraps for as long as possible.

I think that was a stupid thing for E4 to buy simply because they don't have Family Guy and all it does is remind people they don't. It's an amiable enough show but it's just Family Guy Only Not As Good. It's more or less on the level of American Dad which does OK for BBC3 in between series of Family Guy but wouldn't replace it.

Also, unlike Family Guy, there aren't enough episodes to allow E4 to repeat it over and over again and get a loyal audience that way.

That's a very strong match average for the football. 1.84m also a pretty good overall figure considering there was around 45 minutes of analysis either side of the match.

Probably common knowledge by now but The National Movie Awards will be broadcast live on ITV1 on the evening of Wednesday 11th May.

Very good rating for the Football. That'd probably be 3rd overall in the 9pm hour.

I'm expecting a very strong figure for EE on Friday with the developments over the baby, it could be well over 10 million

Which is the evening in which the Apprentice is due to start isn't it? I think we could be looking at a very low figure for the awards!

90210 seems to be doing better this year than I ever remember it doing for E4.

Agree, last year it was between 240-300,000 viewers, now its 450,000+ and an episode three weeks ago got around 550,000, when Principle Cannon came back

Well the quality has increased a lot since last year, which in turn had increased a lot since the first season. I think that helps. Plus it's usually advertised quite heavily during Glee the night before which taps into the right audience for the show.

Pretty dull Tuesday. Candy Cabs landed back on earth with a bit of a thud - perhaps its good news its only three episodes, after all. CSI did well for 5, but there's not much elsewhere anyone will be pleased about. Another grim night for C4 and Britain's Next Big Thing didn't work for BBC Two. They've been struggling with their staple factual formats this year.

Not exactly what Living would've been expecting, for sure. It time shifts well enough, but doesn't actually top their weekly chart. Bones, Greys, Criminal Minds and Cougar Town are all pulling figures in the same region. I presume the Katie deal was done before the Sky takeover, because it doesn't seem a very comfortable fit for the Sky brand to me.

What's wrong with C4 ? Jay ''I'm not bothered about the ratings'' Hunt is beginning to make her presence felt. The rest of your question is superfluous (with respect).

ABC:
8pm - Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution - 5.32m (1.5)
9pm - Dancing With The Stars: Results - 15.46m (3.0)
10pm - Body of Proof - 11.15m (2.5)

CBS:
8pm - NCIS - 19.21m (3.8)
9pm - NCIS:LA - 15.35m (3.3)
10pm - The Good Wife - 10.92m (2.0)

FOX:
9.30pm - Traffic Light - 2.29m (0.9)

NBC:
8pm - The Biggest Loser - 7.18m (2.6)
10pm - Parenthood - 5.09m (2.0)

Tvbythenumbers

While it's hardly a smash hit, Body of Proof is shaping up as ABC's best new drama since Castle launched in 2008/09 and possibly the 2nd best rated new drama of this (admittedly horrific) season (behind H50). It comfortably topped The Good Wife and Parenthood and seems to be holding its audience in its 3rd week at 10pm, despite declines for its lead-in over the same period. Using the half hour A18-49 data from 9.30pm, BoP retained 78% from DWTS, The Good Wife retained 63% from NCIS:LA and Parenthood held 69%.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution probably only got renewed because it won an Emmy and Ryan Seacrest is producing. Those aren't good numbers, even for a reality show.

FOX ran repeats with the exception of the long dead Traffic Light. The CW, also in repeats, averaged 688,000 for the night. Makes you realise how important international sales must be when The Vampire Diaries on ITV2 had 509,000 and 90210 had 475,000 on E4 (+1).

With no new Glee episode, NCIS topped the night quite comfortably in the demo and in viewers, leading CBS to wins in both measures.
