One thing that should be realised is that the broadcasters and not BARB are responsible for the information they provide on the logs that subsequently feed the calculations.”

I wonder why they don't just cut out a few filler scenes (Generally a major soap episode will have a few cut aways to another storyline involving minor characters and a minor storyline, which could be moved to another episode)
It will effect the ratings and cause the rest of the schedule to run early or late.”

EE has a long tradition of extended episodes for key storyline climaxes. It's just a bit difficult now for one hour episodes with ITV wrapping Coro St and EmFm tightly around EE as a crutch for the rest of their schedule.
So if the odd EE episode now overruns Coro St and grinds it into the dirt, then tough. ITV has to reap what it sows.
