One thing I should further add is that after consolidated figures have been produced, BARB have a 1 week and 6 week amendment cycle to cope with just these scenarios where errors in the log transmission files cause inaccuracies in the audience figures. In the commercial world where commerical audiences are scrutinised heavily, these are spotted very quickly and the amendments made, but I'm guessing this one for the BBC slipped through the net...or it was deemed not that important (as the regional audience in the BBC London regional reporting area was fine).
Any amendments that are made, feed through to the BARB website figures.

Not sure if Monroe will get recommissioned. It seems to be heading the way of The Fixer. The problem here is that the opposition actually hasn't been tough, so I'm not sure if it'll be recommissioned.

What about its official rating? It could possibly jump up by nearly a million, like other dramas have done. I didn't watch it personally, but it'd be good if ITV managed to bag themselves a regular medical drama.

Indeed. But maybe one that has something original about it, rather a collapsed souffle of a series made from re-heated leftovers stolen from House, Grey's Anatomy and Peak Practice ...

Very good rating for EastEnders, should be a big rating for it tonight as well. Watchdog dented the 8pm soap hour on ITV1. Still dislike the scheduling for the ITV soaps.

ITV2's getting a few hits on the go with Celebrity Juice and The Only Way is Essex after lacking in that department for many years apart from X Factor and Got Talent spin off shows.

Yet, a year on STV opt outs are still included in the ITV1 HD figures and have never been corrected.

Excellent for Celebrity Juice, it had a larger share than any other digital channel as well as Channel 4 and 5 ! Unsurprisingly Eastenders is the winner since it is the climax of two big storylines and so I can only see that rating increasing tonight.

trickytree1979 - do you know why ITV1+1 official ratings aren't being reported on the BARB website? Is it possible you could give us a date when they might start being reported. Thanks.
--------------------------------
As for last night's overnights: Good ratings for EastEnders - an excellent share at 7.30pm and a very strong BBC3 repeat figure too. Strong night for BBC3 overall, with the documentary at 9pm performing very well and Good News picking up a series high. Celebrity Juice is doing fantastically on ITV2, with yet another all-time high - its just getting bigger and bigger every series.

Solid ratings for BBC1 between 8-10pm. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought last night's Corrie was supposed to be quite a big episode? If that's the case, its rating seems on the low side. Monroe picked up a little week-on-week but a disappointing figure really. I think it's 50/50 on whether it'll get another series or not.

The UEFA football rated low but what can Channel 5 do? Looks like they have to show it on their main channel and they haven't had any luck recently with the football results having gone against them. Decent for the Time Team special on C4.

Hardly - to be fair it's only the second series of the year and the last until the autumn. Since it began it will have had 39 episodes over the space of a year since it launched, so probably on a par with where Millionaire was in it's early days - indeed possibly even less as IIRC once they stopped the stripped shows it went to three times a week. It seems to have settled into a Friday/Saturday pattern now - indeed will be interesting to see if it picks up viewers when it moves to 9pm on Friday. I suspect Royal Wedding fatigue may benefit on the 29th.

Misbehaving Mums To Be on BBC3 had a 13.9% share amongst 16-34s, up 11% on the slot average. BBC3 was ahead of all competitors at 9pm amongst 16-34 including terrestrials, making it the 2nd best night ever for the channel.

It'll be because some of the logs were late in being delivered by ITV. The amendment cyce will deal with it although it'll take some weeks. Is there anything in particular your're after looking at?

Thanks. Nope, not anything in particular. But nothing since its January 11th launch has been reported in the Top 10s table for ITV1+1, it just says:
Quote:
“There is no data available for this channel for this week on the website. If you require the top 10 programmes for this channel please contact a data bureau or look at the Total Weekly Viewing Summary to see if the channel was reported during this period”

Seems like BARB has no plans to report the ITV1+1 consolidated figures at all, because shouldn't the 6-week amendment cycle have fixed that and reported some ratings by now (the weeks in January, for example)?

Isn't it the Enders live night with the aftermath, weakest link special and the repeat? I'm sure that must have picked up a record breaking number of 16-34 year old's for the channel with those numbers.

Have you ever raised this with BARB? One thing I should point out....the website is purely a nice to have released by BARB really as a courtesy for the general public who can see figures free of charge (they are under no obligation to release anything on their website). The main BARB service are the official files which cost a significant amount of money to obtain and look at (hence why they are kind enough to publish figures even though they are potentially losing revenue). The official files are correct in terms of ITV1 HD audiences.

Having looked at the website it does look incorrect, both the inclusion of a regional optout and some of the audiences. It looks like an error for which I'll raise with them.

Could you add a point which has occurred to me:

When (for example) BBC Scotland opts out of Holby on Tuesdays and shows River City does the official total from BARB include River City as it's in the same slot but it's obviously not the same programme ? That was effectively what they were doing with the 6.30 BBC local news showswhen they were getting 8 million last winter.

Very nice rating for EastEnders - highest overnight share since 3 months ago on January 20th - and another 1.4m on the BBC3 repeat last night too. Watchdog did well against the ITV soaps although it has been higher in that slot in the past.

Very poor rating for the football on C5 and with only 5 minutes of pre-match analysis I doubt the match itself would have rated much higher. Of course, this is not the fault of C5 and the movie afterwards did surprisingly well, given the lead-in, to pull a million viewers till gone midnight.

Fantastic night for BBC3, pretty much 3 programs above 1 million in a row. They now have another factual program (Misbehaving Mums-To-Be) pulling above 1 million and I could see this rising week-on-week due to word of mouth just like Junior Doctors did.
