In theory it shouldn't make that much difference. City are still one of the biggest teams in the country! I agree United are a bigger draw, but either way it's not going to be a dream final for ITV.

At the moment Manchester City are all over Manchester United so it's not looking likely. This could boost So You Think You Can Dance? as full time will be around five past seven at this rate.

They would've probably preferred Manchester United v Stoke City/Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers in the semi finals with the Manchester sides winning through to the final.

True, but I don't think they're that much of a ratings draw in that they don't bring a lot of neutrals.

DS have an article dedicated to multichannel ratings for last night I see!: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...nets-490k.html

Thanks PJ. American Idol is doing poorly this series. I can't believed I've only just noticed TOWIE stands for The Only Way is Essex, I thought 'TOWIE' was a totally different show...

Five minutes of added time in the F Cup which'll mean it'll finish just as So You Think You Can Dance? starts. This is playing nicely into BBC1's hands at the moment.

SYTYCD started at 7.09pm. I'd have thought they would have waited a couple of minutes with a filler or something.

Titles rolled as the full time whistle blew so that's quite good timing.

Either they haven't updated the rest of the EPG or they're cutting Sing If You Can to 45 minutes. Britain's Got Talent's still at 8.20pm on there at the moment.

I guess the move was pre-planned and the original schedule was always going to be changed - there's no reason why it was changed otherwise.

I rather fear being between the football and BGT, SIYC is going to get better ratings than it deserve.

Presumably so they can have more than 4/5 minutes analysis.

To be fair, it hasn't been aired yet so no one has any idea what it deserves. Take Me Out was derided on here as rubbish before it was premiered but now it's seen as an ok show (so it'll never be The Wire, but it's not as tacky as people originally thought).

And I have to admit I've been very critical of the programme previously but if they can play it for laughs it may work out ok.

...except it's now coming off 25 minutes of football analysis it seems. If it wasn't going to flop before, it is now.

Looks like it's an EPG error. Football coverage is finishing now.

Edit: Sing if You Can begins at 7.23pm.

Erm, the FA Cup coverage is finishing now.... it seems ITV ballsed up the EPG quite literally.

can we please stop this arguement on the one hand it appears logical, but on the other, I have alerady seen more of SIYC, than I had Take Me Out before its first apperance on ITV.

Also is Take Me Out really seen as an "ok show" by the people who derided it, or do they just see it, as something that ITV viewers view as "ok" which when you think about is a pretty damming statement.

I would rather watch "Walk The Line" than "Sing If You Can", ok I would need to see it re-edited, but my point still stands.

With so little advertising after the football surely the profitability of the football becomes even more dubious?

Certainly Take Me Out isn't being ripped apart as some shows are (then again, shows which are continually derided are those which pull in big ratings suh as X Factor and EastEnders). It could be argued it's more accepted than seem as ok, so fair enough.

I'll give Sing If You Can a go - mainly because So You Think You Can Dance? was boring me after one performance.

I was suprised how many posts have been taken up by discussing tonights schedule during the past week. They were all talking as if 90% of matches go to extra time and penalties. Penalties aren't very common at all.

Sing If You Can is terrible, 2 minutes is more than enough to make a valid opinion on this pile of shite.
