Talking of regional variations, I noticed in my TV guide that Antiques Roadshow in NI today aired at 5.30pm on BBC2 so that BBC1 NI can show a History of Ireland at 8pm - no doubt that will irritate a number of AR regulars in the province who tuned in at 8pm to watch it. If they had to shift it, why not keep it on the same channel and air at 6pm, or move CF an hour sooner and air AR at 7pm?
Also in NI, they move tomorrow's Waking the Dead pt 2 to 10.35pm for some more regional output at 9pm; this also means hit Irish sitcom Mrs Brown airs at 11.35pm!
I assume Mrs Brown hasn't already aired in the province in another slot? Or do they just assume everyone in NI watched it already on RTE?

Brilliant. Of course, that's what all telly promos were like in that era - although the programmes were usually more interesting than that!
Is that a bit of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here? playing towards the end of the trail? If so, they must have been delighted to know their classic track was used to promote a regional documentary about Swansea bin men!
