Maybe in the post X Factor slot in the Autumn? It can't do any worse than The Prisoner did following Britain's Got Talent.

23:45 - ITV News

Millionaire's rating will be interesting, I don't anticipate 6.5m like at Christmas, but I think 5m/5.5m is not out of the question.”

23.45 for ITV News? That's late - surely they could've done that with other films instead of cutting them off soon after 10pm?

Speaking of ITV - nice to see them simply laying down on a Tuesday night again.

Tuesdays at 9pm?

2.7m would be a good ITV1 audience for a Tuesday...

"TEN's News at Five will extend to 6.30pm."

90 minutes of news?!

But that was with soap support - it'd go even lower without it!

I've had a new idea for a programme: How Low Can We Go? - ITV take an inventive approach to their Tuesday problem and launch a programme where the key aim is to pull in no viewers whatsoever. The rate they're going they should get there by Christmas...

I understand why the BBC isnt bidding, it just isnt cost effective for the BBC to be paying to air the lottery.

Does the BBC own the right to the quiz shows? They could probably hold a night up on their own without the draws.

The X Factor UK? Simon's obsession with America may have led him to forget it aloready airs here.

I think most of them have come from a production company. 1 vs 100 being a good example, in that I think its the only lottery format to be used outside of the UK (1 vs 100 came from outside the UK)

my point is that im sure if the BBC want a quiz show to return without the lottery im sure they can do it, but now they dont HAVE to have a lottery format most saturdays.

If they're looking to save money I daresay they could cut down on the likes of Doctor Who and Merlin and use the quizzes as filler. I don't want them to (especially Doctor Who) but...

The Good Wife received a 2.1 in 18-49 with 11.7m total viewers, whilst Teen Mom 2 got a 2.5 with 4.4m total viewers.

I know that The Good Wife skews older audiences, but this is just shocking. Next Tuesday should be interesting with ABC's Body of Proof launch at 10pm and DWTS results show at 9pm, which is avoiding Idol clash this season.

Interesting article on the BBC's new Live+7 ratings here: http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/b...025318.article

The ratings include narrative repeats, iPlayer views and HD showings. BBC3 shows got the biggest uplift with Snog, Marry, Avoid? rising by 560% (1.5m). Him and Her had 2.5million (overnight 0.8m) and one episode of Junior Doctors had a Live+7 figure of 3.5m.

The first episode of The Apprentice last year had a figure of 10 million, as did Top Gear in January.

That wouldn't necessarily save money anyway. Both shows sell well to other countries and on DVD (plus soundtracks, magazines and book royalties). As with Top Gear I suspect both shows make the BBC more than they cost to produce...

I thought the BNP Party Political Broadcast would do better than that, especially with all the publicity...

I enjoyed the first few episodes, and I think a 2/3 part series would have been fine. It's starting to get a bit boring and samey each week now. Plus the kids are (mainly) a bunch of unlikeable a***holes.

There must have been nothing on last night, I know it rates well but normally only around the 300k mark!

Good rating there for Great British Food Revival on BBC2, ITV and BBC1 seem solid.Channe 5 beating Channel 4 after 9pm, seems to be a habit of late.

Another solid Wednesday for BBC1 and they have a very strong schedule with stuff like WTD/Silk/Masterchef/Waterloo/Casualty/lottery/AR/Countryfile all being reliable bankers bringing in the same audience every week.

Good night for ITV with Midsomer pulling in a similar audience to how Nettles episodes were rating, but the test will be to see if it can maintain that now. They could have ended the series when Nettles left, but that's obviously a lot of hours to fill in both new episodes and repeats, unlike something like Touch Of Frost.

Ch4 is starting to get a few more flops and I reckon they need to ditch at least one of their food personalities and invest in other shows, because they just aren't as popular as they used to be.

After weeks of getting a solid 2m, NCIS is dented by Midsomer as expected.

One of the standout ratings has to be Friends which managed 0.7m across E4 and +1 and E4 are really going to struggle to fill all those hours, because not many shows can air 3 or 4 times a year (at least) and get ratings like that. Also bear in mind that episode was already shown earlier twice on E4, so across 4 showings the reach is massive.
