Fads come and go, and it's not totally inconceivable that TXF could end up being beaten by Masterchef in a Wednesday night slot a couple of years hence...

Hope she moves.

She'll be too busy constantly preening herself to look for a flat. So if she wants putting up in Manchester for a while, I would happily oblige - although the current Mrs Sykes might not be too happy about my choice of lodger...

I concur with those who think the move north is ridiculous. Sure, the new facilities at MediaCity are fantastic and will help further regenerate the area. But at what cost when the Beeb is being forced to make 20% cuts to budgets?

The Dales did very well in the slot versus EastEnders. Just realised the horrible rating for Fern as well. Very good for Mrs Brown's Boys as well.

Fern flopped. Ch4 are going to really miss the stability that CDWM brings to that slot over the next 4 weeks.

Surprised Mrs Brown's Boys down as it was nudging 4 million last week - does that figure take account of the regional time shifting ?

I doubt Zohan rated THAT low! It was trending on Twitter and there were thousands of Facebook mentions too!

Look at the ratings for BBC Two and Channel 4 at 8pm as well. Dispatches' fortunes completely reversed on last week when it faired quite well. And University Challenge not as high as it should be for a semi-final.

Each of the smaller three seemed to suffer at 8pm, not just Channel 5.

It had nearly 4m in the officials, not overnights.

Is that one of the worst ratings for channel4 at 8PM?
Its not really good at all and ITV2 ITV 3 and BBC3 might have had more viewers?

Yesterday was the first weekday of BST after the clocks changed so we will probably start to see evening programs now exposed to daylight have dropped. eg - Emmerdale on 7.1m, which is lower than recently for a Monday, but 36% share is pretty imense for it. Dispatches was very low regardless though.

They changed the schedule and put out the two Curbs at 9pm without ads and Bored to Death started at 10pm.

Comedy premieres never seem to do as well on Channel 5 as action/family movies. Superbad for example I thought would do a lot better than the 1.3m it got. I expected Zohan to rate about the same, but it did finish quite late.

It is poor. Given some of the ratings we've seen for Friends recently, maybe even E4 outmuscled C4 in the 8pm hour with a 9 year old sitcom repeat.

Even Oldham v Tranmere on SS1, might have had more.

Awful for Dispatches (although what were they thinking making a programme about the BP oil spill this late in the day?).

"Fern" might well be a bigger worry for the channel, though. In the second half hour it was trailing fifth out of the five terrestrials.

Until every TV set in the UK has a BARB box built in, I will never beleive ratings!

0.7m for Daybreak, I thought the show had "turned a corner"?

Surely ITV will have to do something about it?

It funny how it's looking even more like GMTV every day, even the sofa has turned red!

I wonder if ITV would ever do a channel 4, and replace it with normal programming?

agreed, something has changed at the Gadget Show, im not sure what it is however.

Look at Company Pictures. They produce Shameless in Manchester and Skins in Bristol. They produce the shows where they are set.

Why can't other companies do this? Even the BBC?”

how could the BBC film Casualty in a fictional city?

That said I think they should have both Casualty & Holby City at Cardiff.

Good job the BBC didn't try filming Life on Mars at its actual location
