I notice that 6 x 60 episodes of DCI Banks and 8 x 60 episodes of Doc Martin start filming this week.

With Downton Abbey in the mix, seems like ITV may be on for some good winter drama ratings.

That would just mean that the audience watching it were the sort of people who regularly use facebook and twitter. It doesn't actually take a large number of people to make something a UK trending topic

I think Charnham has a good point about Casualty and Holby. When Holby started it was said there would be frequent ''cross overs'' for the characters between the two shows but that never really happened as they were at opposite ends of the M4 and the actors would have spent most of their time driving up and down. If they were made together it would be much more feasible.

Does anyone know if there will be another series of Chris Moyles Quiz Night? Cant find anything about it.

Indeed. Antiques Roadshow got 6 times the audience of Zohan on Sunday but I for one didn't see any tweets or Facebook comments!

Perhaps they could have crossovers between Holby and EE as both are made at Elstree Phil Mitchell could become a brain surgeon and Dot Cotton a health consultant.

Around 6-7 million people actually. The majority are elderly which was kind of my point that they won't be using Facebook or twitter. Just to remind that they DID film Life on Mars where it was set - in south Manchester/Stockport/Hyde.

It was only the US remake that was set on or near to Mars.

Mind you Outcasts was set on an alien world and filmed expensively in South Africa, but would have been just as realistic filmed in Scunthorpe.

I also wish that Casualty and Holby City would film in one location together as it has been a treat to see Henrick cross over from Holby to Casualty several times lately, as he would in real life, but these occurrences are few and far between given that in fiction they only have to get in a lift and in real life they need to travel 90 miles down the M 4.

Lol perhaps this answers the burning question as to why, when Casualty actors are ringing for help from just about every possible surgical unit, no-one ever turns up! Forcing the said Casualty actors to perform the surgery themselves in far more dangerous circumstances.
