Humax are now rolling out their 500GB model as standard - see Join Freesat - so there will probably be some bargains on remaining stocks of the 320GB model.

I guess it goes along with the new 1tb HDR model.

Looks as though Humax are planning on keeping this model around longer than expected.

For those that have done a 1Tb upgrade - you have to format and prep the hard disk manually don't you? It will be interesting to see what firmware release is in the new 1Tb models as you will at least expect it to be able t format its own hard disk when performing a factory reset/hard disk format.

No, only if it's larger than 1Tbyte.

Not really, the long delayed release of the YouView spec means it's unlikely to be replaced any time soon - it probably 'should' have been later this year or early next, but as the spec isn't likely to be released until next year now (if at all?), they may wait until after that.

And as they have already said they will be releasing Freeview versions first, a Freesat version is probably a long way away now.

There is a Freesat spec upgrade due this year, unless that waits for YouView as well?, so there's a chance that there could be a box before YouView, but I'm doubtful.

I would just be happy for them to release the fix for the inability to recover gracefully from a power failure.
