Bought this model last week and cant seem to get the picture right.

I have it hooked up to SKY+ HD with the supplied HDMI cable from SKY.

The HD chanels seem fine but SD seem a little raggy/fuzzy and was wondering if some kind person may be able to give me there picture settings as I keep messing with mine and just cant get it spot on.

To be honest apart from brightness and contrast I dont know what the other settings do.

Also is it advised to replace the HDMI cable that came with the SKY box with a superior one or does it not make a difference.

Many thanks for any tips

A different HDMI cable probably won't make much difference.

How are your SD pictures on freeview? If they are fine, but the SD pix on Sky are worse, then that could be a dodgy box or Sky's picture (SD) simply not up to it.

Can't see it being a quality set like LG letting you down!

Don't think there's much you can do with the settings other than adjust colour, brightness, backlight and sharpness. Perhaps a higher sharpness setting would help?

It's quite normal not to be able to change the picture format through the HDMI connection.

You are not watching half a picture, you are watching a 4:3 picture as it was intended to be watched. Who wants to watch a picture that is stretched horizontally to fill the screen. People look obese and footballs look like rugby balls.
