A bit embarrasing. They should practice more, left, right, up, down, back, forward To do a proper testing would not hurt either.

I've had to just stop using the alarm on my iPhone. This error has occurred too many times now...it was becoming unreliable. It's very annoying because I prefer using the alarm on my phone because there have been times when I've forgotten to flick the switch on my alarm clock the night before work

Personally i think still having this bug is shocking and cant believe apple wont just fix the damn problem.

Watch the apple users fly in any second telling us no one or very little people use their phone for alarms so apple shouldn't bother sorting it.

I own an iPhone 3GS, and I haven't yet been affected by this bug. As I recall, the main issue last time was with repeat alarms, and I set mine manually every night.

That said, I do find it very disappointing that they haven't yet been able to iron out this problem. Yes, it might only be twice a year, but it tends to attract a lot of media attention and just makes the operating system look shoddy and poorly designed, when for most things it isn't. This should really be quite a basic thing for Apple to fix, and they should have done it by now.

I know writing unit tests for date related operation is hard but bloody hell it's not impossible.

But we have all been told you don't buy a smart phone to use as an alarm clock by apple users lol

Most people have other options for their alarm, but many, many people use their phones these days. As an iPhone owner, I do find it poor that the DST bug hasn't been sorted yet. It's not a huge inconvenience now that so many people know about, but it's embarrassing for Apple, for the same reasons.
