My cat like Whiskers treats - Dentabits are good and also Temptations. But he loves those long cat stick things (any make will do). When he was much younger we always hid one in the shopping bags and left him to find it. Now every time we come in from doing the shopping he waits for his treat.

Other than that, my cat will eat just about anything treat-wise from boiled eggs to white chocolate.”

Just came across these. One of our cats just really loves them. The other is indifferent. They have added omega and zinc in them, too, as a bonus.

They don't have it too often, but my two love processed cheese slices. They have a slice between them, and they also love single cream mixed with hot water, obviously cooled down to warm, before I give it to them. They go bonkers with the catnip that I grow in the garden.

I discovered Dreamies last week and Woody loves them. Shadow likes a bit of boiled chicken as a treat. I'll have to have a look for Lick-e-Lix.

I read on another pet forum about giving them an uncooked chicken wing. I have never heard this before (I thought chicken bones were dangerous for cats, but was told it is alright if it isn't cooked). I meant to ask my vet when Shadow went for his check up, but forgot. Apparently it is good for their teeth. I would be interested to hear other people's views on this before I try it.

Also, none of my cats have ever liked milk or cream (cat or human variety). I thought cats were supposed to like milk, or is that an old wives tale?

I give our kitten roast turkey from the deli. She loves it. She also loves fresh salmon.

@ Shadow
Some cats find it hard to digest lactose, so cow's milk and cream isn't really a good idea - it can give them diarrhoea. Special cat milk is lactose reduced but they don't need it, it's just a marketing ploy for us daft humans. Most of my cats have not liked milk.

Re chicken wings. Personally I don't want to handle raw chicken wings, and I don't want raw chicken dragged over the kitchen floor by my cats. It's bad enough clearing up the vole entrails Fans of raw feeding will have a different view.

Minnie has a raw chicken wing almost every day and will try to help herself whenever the fridge door is open. Thankfully I've found a cat food she will eat, as the wing isn't complete - no innards. The vet commented she had the best teeth of the three. Rufus ate a bit she left the other day. The drawback is when she starts killing it - that's messy, very messy.

When my cats could get out of the back garden they used to hunt, and all used to eat some or all of what they caught. Errol was a bird specialist (he left the flight feathers), the rest were into small rodents. Not treats I gave them, but treats they got for themselves.

Sometimes when we have come to end of a packet of sandwich meat he gets the last slice as a treat and if we have a chicken roast for dinner (which is very rare) he will get little scraps that fall off when carving

I'm having to cut down on the treats. My cat is supposed to be on a diet. She loves cooked chicken and I suspect I have been giving her too much as she hasn't lost any weight since I have bought some expensive diet food. The trouble is, she was always a wet and dry eater and I felt bad just making her eat dry. So we are now playing the 'carrying game'. She sits next to the fridge begging for chicken, I carry her to her dry food bowl and plonk her there One trick I have discovered is that I used to fling treats on the floor. Now when she starts begging, I fling some of her dry food instead.

As a couple of others have said, our cats get Whiskas Temptations. They LOVE them

When I went to stay with my parents after my mum had an operation, my dad fed my cats Taste the Difference Ham as a treat. Needless to say they loved him and my mum was less than impressed at his generosity - especially when there was nothing left for our lunch

Over the years we've tried Amber with everyhting - turkey, chicken, tuna, steak, salmon, cod, lamb, ham (not cooked specifically for her of course) and she has no interest. Same for cream, milk, butter.

She has never had any interest in human food.

She goes nuts for the chicken and cheese Whiska cat treats though.

It's the same with toys really - over the years we've bought her loads of cat stuff and she has little interest. Give her a box or tie a lottery ticket on the end of a fishing rod (OH's rod - for fishing and not bought for Amber!) and she goes banana's!

we don't give our cats any treats simply because you give it to one and then you have to give a treat to the other which is a problem as one of my cats Murphy, is having to lose a bit of weight although he dose get given occasionaly a bit of cheese..

My girl likes roast chicken. I tried to give her icecream from a teaspoon, I thought she'd love it but I think she didn't like the coldness!

I have a 4 year old male cat, he turns his nose up at ham and freshly cooked fish. If he only wants cat food, that's all he will get from now on.

Most of my dad's cats liked mice, rats, young rabbits, young pheasants, young partridges and various small birds.

That would be supplemented with various leftovers from the house.

They weren't house cats mind and had their own place in an out house to sleep etc.

Some of your cats like some odd things. They remind me of my childhood cats. I had one that liked curry and another that liked crisps and strawberry mouse (not both at the same time )

That's the same as our cat she turns her nose up at most human food, she will eat fish if we have it but it's usually a tiny bit on my little finger. She won't drink milk either but we discovered the other day she likes HP brown sauce (caught her licking my boyfriends plate after dinner!).

She does love her treats though, I give her a Whiskas stick every other day she goes mad climbing all over me before I even have it open! And the dreamies go down well as well, she usually only has about 6-10 a day and we have bags in every flavour and keep them everywhere (comes in handy to shake when we want her to come somewhere!)

Tomato ketchup, and the tomato sauce that some tinned fish comes in. Sparky loved those.
