Have you got an Apple store near you? If you have, try taking it there. Alternatively, call Apple support.

They will swap it on the spot - make sure you've backed everything up first.

I can slag them off as a brand as much as I like but even I admit there is one thing where Apple wins hands down and excels at is the customer service and after sales support. There isn't a company like it so far as I know of. Apple are brilliant with their genuis service, they should have you sorted in no time.

Out of interest what reason did Orange give for not fixing it? No iPhone 4 should be out of warranty yet as they can only be a maximum of 9 months old.

As far as I was aware Apple insist on seeing any handsets which are older than seven days since purchase, hence why Orange referred you? Re: the camera issue, make sure you close down any open applications and restart, same thing happened to me and that fixed it? Worth a go if you've not already?

First two questions have you closed the Camera App using the Multitasking Bar (double click home screen, scroll to app and hold down till it wobbles/no entry sign. Click it) Then rebooted the phone by holding down the home bottom and power button until the Apple logo appears. (usually about ten seconds)

Secondly have you updated to the latest firmware using iTunes currently 4.3?

Try booking with the Genius Bar on the Apple website then you can just walk straight in at a specific time and they should just change the handset there on the spot.
