Buying MP3's

It's an absolute rip off.

I have an Android phone so the only service I can use is Amazon.....89p for a track?! No wonder people turn to piracy.

If tracks were 50p each, I'd buy them. But not at 89p.

What does everyone else do?

Depends on how you look at it. Albums are generally no more expensive than the CD (although I would like to see digital distribution cheaper than physical media) if you buy them in full. I don't mind paying 99p through iTunes for the odd song. I only really do this if I'm looking for an individual track.

Even albums should be priced at say £4 or so. No case/cover/disc is involved so it should be cheaper.

Well, you might think it should be, and I agree with you, but unfortunately that's not the reality. I love my Kindle, for example, but I find myself using it less than I would because the ebooks are, in many cases, the same price as or even more expensive than their paper equivalents.

I have a Kindle app too. Too expensive. If the books were say £3 for the latest ones, I'd do it.

I have an actual Kindle, which is what makes the prices even more frustrating.

Play.com has many cheap CDs. I thought about my choice of phone before I bought one. Part of the reason I chose a Windows Phone 7 was because of the excellent zune music service they have. I have a zune pass subscription for unlimited music (streaming and download) which works on my PC, my xbox and my phone.

You can get spotify on android if you listen to a lot of music.

Bought a few tracks... there's 7digital aswell as Amazon.

Prefer to buy CDs n rip them but then apart from the odd urge to listen to one or two tracks I don't really use my phone for music.

I have an android phone. It will play an mp3 file.
I can buy/create an mp3 file in many ways.
Not sure what the issue is really.
