Its becoming the norm to have a spare battery to carry for the occasional busy day out and about.

Down to 24% in 21 odd hours yesterday, i left background data on, turned sync off, left wifi on and used 2g only with a payg o2 sim. emails, facebook etc i updated manually. used the bus app a couple of times texted a few people and made one phone call. I never left the house though, will try the same amount of use next week when out with my 3 sim (obviously 3g only) and about and post results. Nexus one - gingerbread.

No, it's not.
Yes it is. Whilst you maybe left with around 50% at the end of the day, there is no way you would not charge overnight and have a full battery for the start of the next day.

Blackberries are probably the exception. However since iphone and android users way outnumber the blackberry crowd, it is the norm to charge overnight.

Price is in US dollars and includes postage, so about £2.30 GBP delivered to your door.

The lid is not well fixed so a rubber band holds it in place for me but for the price its a bargain. Does not work on iPhones I'm told.

It would be a very decent box but for the fact that cable protection is missing at the case.I've glued mine.
A far better design would be to integrate the the USB socket into the box itself.
Its was bought for my non removable battery Win CE GPS unit. I suspect it gets 2 phone charges at 8 times the bulk of a phone battery.

Those cheap AAA 'emergency phone chargers' with loads of connectors will make way for these things in that USB is becoming the norm.

I did in my last post. The current poundland ones are as they say 'emergency only' with hardly enough capacity for one charge, For a normal phone its still more convenient to carry a spare battery.
