It's the best bit, as long as the spuds haven't been nuked. The crunchier the better.

Yes, as long as they are crispy. Can't stand limp ones.

Roll the potato around in some oil, sprinkle some salt on and cook for about an hour and a half - turning them over half way through. This usually guarantees they're crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

100% in favour of eating the skin at the mo'.
Must admit there's one time I don't - if the tattie has been baked in the ashes of a fire. |

Best part of the tottie (better than the inside) nothing better than a real crispy baked tot.
![]() Hate microwaved ones, also what is the point of wrapping a tottie in foil Unless you have a crispy skin and just like the inside. might as well just do a mash spud.

Yes I love the skin. My dad won't though which I find weird.
I microwave mine then bang it in the oven with NO foil for half an hour and it's perfect. Really baked crispy skin |

Yes , never got the tin foil thing(though I do stab mine with a skewera few times). Or the rolling in oil. I'm sure it works but I've just never found it necessary, rather save the fats and salt for the filling.

Just been thinking back to my yoof ('70s) - I recall that few people ate the skin back then - maybe my family was just odd but perhaps the benefits of potato skin weren't widely known then - and, after all, we peeled our spuds for boiling & roasting.

Rubbed with olive oil and rolled in sweet paprika then baked with a few slices of chorizo sausage, nice a crisp with loads of flavour.

I don't often eat Baked Potatoes but when I do I eat everything. I guess it is just the way I have been brought up not to leave waste.

Yes, but the skin has to be crispy and the spud cooked proper in the oven, not microwaved.
