Ruth Lorenzo, possibly the best vocalist I've ever had the pleasure to witness. However, Pia's technique, range, power is all what makes her a very strong vocalist in this competition.
With Simon, it wasn't all about the voice - this season it is, perhaps that's why she's through.
I can see why you don't like her though, just another typical diva to you?

I thought he was awful for a part of the song but really good for the rest of the song which makes it a bit difficult to judge. His main problem is control

Pia is the best singer there in my opinion, not my favourite voice or contestant, but her voice is undeniably incredible as she proved with I'll Stand By You and All By Myself.

I know Scotty is the DS favourite (and probably the American favourite), but he doesn't really do anything for me, though I'm not a big country music fan, which might be why.

The only one this year I'd listen to more than once is Scotty.

Pia can undoubtedly sing but her voice is merely just on the right of very good. She's not a patch on some previous contestants, female and male (probably why she wasn't put through on either of her previous attempts) and she would pale in a sing-off with Jacob who would benefit as much from not showing what he can do each and every time as Pia would from knowing her limitations and not forcing her voice to notes that are above her upper end as they only end up coming out flat and run the risk of doing irreparable damage.
