This weekend Laura and Colin will be performing the trick!

“We’ll be doing the headbanger move in our routine together and that’s just one of the tricks we’ll be performing. We have got other tricks as well that have been a bit of struggle this week. So hopefully it’ll all come together!

Colin will be doing the headbanger - Laura will just have to keep her head up a few inches.

Having a male celeb like Sam doing the headbanger (as he did) is far more of a big deal - as its the male partner who is in 100% control.

Sam's attempt at doing the headbanger made very uncomfortable viewing I think.

yep - Hayley mentioned it Friday on This Morning. She said Laura was doing it the professional way, which means off the edge of her skate, rather than lying on the floor, holding up her leg and waiting to be picked up.

I hate the headbanger, regardless of who does it. I have never really understood the point of it.

it was only a big deal in that he was arrogantly and foolishly attempting a very dangerous move that they knew from the start was too difficult for him, that his partner knew was too difficult for him, and that could have killed his partner. It's only a big deal in the way that pain and suffering, idiocy and mistakes are a big deal.

I don't find the headbanger for women a big deal either (I dislike it intensely) but I am far more impressed by a woman doing it properly than by a man doing it badly.

I wouldn't mind doing the headboard banger with Colin.

I don't see the point of the headbanger either.

But it isn't really Laura doing it - Colin is. But that's the inherent problem with the show - its easier for a female celeb with a male professional to look good performance wise as the man is the one taking the lead with the lifts etc. The male celebs have it tougher - they cannot be carried around.

yes I agree - much harder for the guys. The solo skate will separate the men from the girls this week.

Whatever the PoV on the headbanger, it is dam dangerous

Already had one near miss this year when Brianne came perilously close to smashing her bonce on the ice

Seen so many headbangers now, the novelty and shock value have worn off.

Did you think Chloe was attention seeking when she accomplished that difficult, impressive and very well executed handstand lift?

Do I detect a little concern that tomorrow might be Laura's night to shine?

Not from me. I am fully expecting the judges to give her 10s and praise her to the high heavens but I'm just sick of her and haven't liked her from the start.

Nothing to do with Chloe, though it's clear she pulls in more votes and I can see why.

It's your view and one that you're fully entitled to. If every voter liked the same performer there would be no contest.

Laura has topped the leaderboard once, same with Chloe. The judges praised Chloe to the high heavens last week and her fanbase has clearly grown throughout the series. She might very well win the series, and whilst I would be disappointed for Laura (and Johnson) she would be deserving of her success, as is anyone who pulls in the public vote.

I just find it such a pity that some find it impossible to praise their favourite without taking a swipe at the competition.

Sign of the times on DS these days unfortunately, stemming back to the days of BB

Will be glad when this show finishes next week and we can all go back to being friends again. At least until Britain's Got Talent starts of course.....

nor me, i wish her and the others the best but as a Chloe supporter im naturally more interested in her routine.
i agree with you Strictly that Laura just isn't likeable, ive never warmed to her.it just seems like shes constantly trying to outdo the others and over competitiveness is very unattractive.
its not Chloes fault that shes likeable and clearly very popular,as you say getting more votes.

Thank God I won't be watching it - SCD and DOI are enough for me - though The Apprentice also draws me in. However with the latter we don't have the problem of adulatory fan worship and most of the comments are from viewers pissing themselves laughing at the very idea that the contestants represent the cream of young British entrepreneurs.

I think she's lovely! She's very pretty with a very genuine smile and seems very caring of Colin.

I don't mind Chloe at all but I much prefer Laura's personality.

I think Laura's likeable and really lovely and down to earth.

I think and hope that there's only a small margin between votes for her and Chloe.

The last time Laura was in the bottom 2 was in my opinion down to her outfit and wig for the Charleston routine being hideous and her being on first. Plus Chloe was given a really sexy routine and outfit.

Laura fans certainly have had a wake-up call that week and will make sure not to assume she's save. I've upped my voting for Laura from twice a week to 20x a week since.

Let's forget about her being in the bottom in the first week, she has gained a lot of fans since that, she has over 15x as many followers on twitter than before the show, so that's a good sign.

I hope she'll get through to the final, she deserves it!
