Foxsat vs new Samsung
Hi There
Anyone got any opinions on whether should wait for new samsung. Considering dropping sky HD as hardly watch any sky channels now... But would like a nice portal system for on demand content and also from media server? I read somewhere that the current foxsat isn't going to be upgraded like the new freeview Humax is - which sounds dissapointing. My view is freesat rather than freeview as freeview is ultimately limited to a low number of HD channels... Having a play around with a Boxee box from work - would be nice if you could get that sort of feature set inside a freesat box to save having so many remotes... (-: Any thoughts really welcome! Any link to this new Samsung you mention?
And can you get the Boxee to run Eurosport Player (uses Silverlight)? |

Boxee doesn't play Silverlight so Eurosport is a no go at the moment.
The boxee is fantastic though, there is quite alot of on demand shows on it (all the main channels) plus Seesaw. I'll never use Iplayer again on my Humax. On boxee can choose HD and also navigating is super quick. |

Thanks. Been difficult finding a definitive answer especially as there have been reports of some users running FlickR which I understand is the other main service to use Silverlight. Back to looking at the Acer Revo then.

Aver revos are great but windows 7 and media centre just aren't reliable enough in my experience to take over from a dedicated pvr. too many reboots.
Not that sky hd is though! |
