Perhaps they could have refunded as a goodwill gesture, but I stand by what they said about using it in an iPad or tethering with it.
Unlimited is unlimited, fair enough, but people will abuse that. Not saying that is abuse, but as they make very little money already, they are still a business. |

Rubbish, they can tell and they don't need to prove it. If they suspect you they have the right to take action.
All web requests to the internet include things called headers, in which is announced the name of the device and or browser used. They will quite clearly be able to tell the device has been tethered and used on a device other than a mobile phone. |

That was on an unlimited tariff with Tesco, which is 50% owned and mainly operated by O2 on behalf of Tesco. |

That's exactly what another forum member said, then he got a £1363 bill and opened a thread here shortly after saying the company were saying that he had not adhered to the terms and conditions and that they were billing him by the megabyte for the data used outside of his terms.

Anyway, those at Giffgaff also have said that they won't charge you in the event of being caught tethering or abusing data, however you run the risk of being warned/disconnected. Maybe you see that as a "say one thing, do another", but I take it as that. |

Has anyone removed the 18+ content block without a credit card? If yes, what was the process?
Thanks |
