I recently sent back my Xperia mini back to the tech guys for repair, I then got a phone call to say it was broken due to my mis use and the best they could do was sell my a new or refurbished phone for around £100. After several angry calls and then saying I was not going to fork out on a new phone they sent my broken phone back to the shop where i got it. the chap there said to try charging it, this i did and lo and behold my dead phone is now working. I am smelling a rat here and think someone is needing their commision. Just to warn people in case 3 try to spin you a yarn!

Very suspicious.

Without letting them know the outcome, I would ask their technical team for a more detailed explanation by letter. Ask - in what way was it misuse?

i should have said they said mis use by crushing or dropping there fore damaging the main circuit board, this is clearly a load of bull. they were probably chancing their luck thinking I would buy a new phone. My main quibble was that the phone wasonly 4 months old!

On the flip side I did very nicely out of 3... they repaired a broken phone, for free even when it was out of contract, by a year! THREE times for three different faults. Course, fourth time I took it in they realised I wasn't using the proper phone and tried to charge me lol I said oh well, time for a new phone

i have been very happy with all other aspects of my contract, the shop staff have ben great.

I've been with them since 2005 - had a few niggles with handsets but that's hardly 3's fault you could get that on any network. I'm happy with the reception, which has to be the main priority. Price wise good too. I love 3
