They probably picked it up from the fact she kept jokingly telling them "9 stone", although I must admit I never saw the 1st 2 weeks so can't really guage what she looked like then compared to now. I would've said a bit more than 5lb, but certainly not over a stone.

aaww!! looks like i will have to go to a burial later. one of daughters extremely elderly rats has died at long last. she outlived herself by about a year!!
