Did anyone else find that horrific to watch? I actually thought she hit the ice at one point.... I think it was a step too far on Colin's behalf and I am a supporter of the pair... I actually felt ill.

But she didn't - worth a phone call imo.

I'm not a fan of the headbanger. It might be incredibly dangerous but it doesn't look very elegant.

I watched both headbangers tonight through my fingers LOL!

I detest it, it adds nothing to a dance for me. I admire the skill but find it unnecessary.

It doesnt bother me as long as they pull a clean one off. and there was only one clean one tonight for me as the other one had a hand down.

I was just She got a little too close to the ice for comfort. I didn't find it confortable viewing at all.

I loved it, better than Sam and Brianne's.

I don't see what the fuss is about a headbanger.

I find the move detracts from the flow of a good dance. Its all flash and no style.

same and it was exciting and added to Laura's performance!

It was genuinely very scary. The first time I've ever been scared by the headbanger.

It was very scary i admit, but i really don't think Colin would put Laura at too much risk, he seems too solid a "pro" for that.

I almost had a heart attack!

Theirs was the first headbanger that seemed to fit the routine and added to the excitement of it all. It didn't feel like it was there just for the sake of it.

Same. Admittedly Laura's was very close but Sam's first headbanger weeks ago was much more uncomfortable to watch and on the one tonight Brianne whacked her arm quite hard on the ice during the headbanger.

I'm not a fan of the headbanger but Laura's was really exciting and I loved the fact she did it from a standing position.

As I posted on the other thread before seeing this one

"In her typical fashion Laura really comitted to this allowing Colin to polish the ice with her hair.
By contrast, the experienced pro,Brianne, seemed to protect herself a little by holding her head well up and leaving her shoulder as the most likely first contact point with the ice"

I'm so nervous I watch it first on fast forward, to get it over with quickly and make sure they didn't get hurt, then watch it back at normal speed, so I can relax and enjoy it.

In all fairness I thought she was far braver than Laura! I would have been VERY surprised if Colin had messed that one up, whereas we saw how clumsy Sam was the other week.

Breathtaking, in every sense of the word.

I prefer elegance in ice skating and don't understand the "headbanger", don't like it.

I really don't like the headbanger either, I think it's far too dangerous for one of the non pro's to even attempt, Sam shouldn't be risking his partner like that just to try and top the leaderboard. Fair enough for Laura to try it as she is in the hands of a pro but I really don't like watching it at all.

It's ugly even when done well. I guess we are stuck with it until someone gets their skull smashed into the ice and looks like a serious road traffic incident. Hate it.

I agree with all of this, I have to turn off when I see them doing it. I do love Laura and she is my favourite but for Sam to do it is madness, it is too risky for the man.
I don't understand why T & D let him do it, they were concerned about Laura doing it until she was perfect, yet they let Sam go ahead and he looked far from perfect.
