I can see that he's good, but as far as I'm concerned he's not as good as he thinks that he is. He's not anywhere near as good as Chris Fountain, Ray Quinn or even Hayley Tammadon. I actually think even Laura is much better than him.
He's cocky and arrogant and the "fauxmance" with Brianne was a pathetic and desperate way of getting attention and column inches. I think this explains why the judges have been quite luke warm to him in recent weeks. The sulks when he doesn't get top scores annoy me, and he's not even that good looking either.

As much as I think that Johnson should go tonight, I wouldn't too upset if Sam went instead

and I agree with every word you have typed.

Yes, he can skate of that there is no doubt. Yes, this is Dancing on Ice and not Personality on Ice. Having said that I just wish he'd do a Todd Carty and skate right out of the door and I'd be quite happy to bang the door behind him LOL!

I don't particularly like him either (well, I nothing him really), but his solo skate was good tonight. He seems to have suddenly developed a personality away from Brianne.

I would like a Sam vs Johnson SO tonight as I love Laura and feel a bit sorry for Chloe.

He doesn't bother me but he MUST get to the final.

Also why did he do the headbanger again tonight? Is it because he found out that Laura was doing it and was worried about being upstaged?

A lot of people (including myself) dislike his personality. But a lot of people though Ray was unlikeable, it doesn't always stop people going far. Some people vote purely on skating.

But there is no denying he skated well tonight, and I highly doubt he will be in the skate off. He topped the leaderboard and will have bounceback votes from last week.

I want Laura to win because she is an excellent skater AND likeable. I fear she might be in the skate off, but she would beat Johnson and Chloe. I wouldn't want a Laura/Sam skate off, it would be too close!

I agree. I don't know what it is about him, like CombatHamster so cleverly said "I nothing him".

It will be a travesty if anyone but Johnson went tonight - there is no comparison. It is a skating competition and I think the 3 better skaters should be in the final.

They don't choose the choreography!

I neither like nor dislike him. I've never met him. I find some of his routines a bit dull to watch though so he isn't my preference this year. I usually find Laura much more exciting to watch and Chloe too on occasions, although she had a bad night tonight

The difference between Ray and Sam is that Ray was excellent and is probably the best celebrity ever to have appeared on the show. If you didn't know who he was and just happened to tune in to the show you'd be hard pushed to tell who was the celeb and who was the professional. He was THAT good.

Sam is good, but he's not as good as Ray.. or Chris.. or Hayley

disagree 100%

Have no idea whether i like him on a personal level or not as I don't know him at all, but I think he skates great and I like watching him.

He just seems false and absolutely desperate to win.

The apology to Jason sounded rehearsed and that he was trying to gain favour with the public for doing that.

And a few weeks ago, when he realised that he wasn't top of the leaderboard, his smile disappeared and he said to Phillip Schofield that he was really pleased with his marks. He could've fooled me. It's one thing being competitive, but another to be desperate to win the show.

I can't say I particularly warm to him as a personality, but I think he is the best skater on the show by a country mile.
Tonight he really demonstrated that - as well as technically adept, I think he is also quite graceful & elegant, particualrly for someone so tall.

Unfortunately, in this series, Laura has been so over-marked and over-hyped by the judges (for some weird reason) - he hasn't had the praise & marks he deserves (IMO).
I find Laura very 'clumpy' to watch - no grace & elegance at all. I think Chloe is much better than her.

Sam a good skater but I just feel nothing when he skates. so on that note I dont really enjoy his skating.

100% agree The fauxmance was his major downfall for me. I didn't like him before and then they tried to pull out the "we're madly in love, we've met each others parent" two weeks later, after a pap photo of him kissing someone else "we're not together anymore". It just seemed so desperate and unnecessary.

Out of Johnson and Sam, I'd prefer Johnson to go. Atleast I don't need match sticks to keep my eyes open to watch Sam. I need earplugs instead so I don't have to hear his excuses of "it was a different hat, it's not my fault the het sprung legs and jump into the air and landed on the ice. It wasn't my fault really".

He may not be as good a Chris or Ray but he is way way way way better than Hayley who could dance but really couldn't skate very well.

I thought both his routines were great tonight although would have liked to see more skating and less of the breakdancing.

With an arse like that he can be as cocky and arrogant as he likes. My pregnancy hormones are playing havoc with my taste in men!

He was by far the best tonight way ahead of any competition, I was hoping for better things from Chloe, Laura is not graceful and appeared jerky tonight. Johnson should go but what will be will be.

It's T&D that choreograph the routines so if anyone was after a head-to-head with Laura, it was them (and the producers).

Sam was just doing as he was instructed.

I like the guy and want him in the final.

Of course

Just love Laura. Her performances are so exhilarating.

She was back to her best tonight, and I'm back to wanting her to win!
