^ ^ Agree Sam leaves me stone cold and although he is a great skater technically, I do find him a bit like Scott Maslen of SCD. Bit of a poseur in other words and too predictable.

Agreed - possibly the most chronic overmarking I have seen on this show (relative to Sam and Chloe). Apart from the handstand I thought there was little difference between Chloe and Laura really in their solos - Sam was worth a lot more as well than a lead of 1 over Laura.
Still the judges have their favourite - Emma's marking becomes more of a joke every week (she almost gave Johnson and Chloe the same mark for their solos).

I think you have just put into words my feelings about Sam. From the very first show he got on my tits, but I was not sure exactly why.
It's so unusual for me to be like this about a contestant on a reality show. But I think the main thing is the desperation to be a star oozing through the television screen that does it. And the whole fake romance thing just finished me off.
That said he is a good skater and does deserve to be in the final, I think!, but I would like to see Laura win.

Yes, I can see exactly where you are coming from! As much as he is a good skater and I do think that he deserves a place in the final I do feel that I would be much happier if either Chloe or Laura won. I dont think that Sam has much of a personality and he definitely did not do himself any favours with the fake romance with Brianne. I also think that he comes over has being very cocky as well.
I much preferred Hayley, Suzanne and Clair to him as well!
His fixation with being top of the leaderboard is vomit inducing - as if he believes that's where he "belongs".

I dont agree, I think that Hayley was a great skater and a great dancer and I would much rather watch her than Sam any day! I dont think that Sam has much of a personality and at the end of the day it is not just all about the skating. I think that Sam comes over as too cocky and its like he thinks that it is his god given right to win the show this year! I really do hope that it will be either Chloe or Laura that wins. On saying that I dont think that Laura was that much in front of Chloe in her solo performance tonight as the scores show. I do agree with many people on here and I think that Laura is a favourite with the judges, especially Jasons! I personally would just love to see Chloe win!

I too thought Hayley a great performer as I did Suzanne, Clare and Bonnie. Didn't care much for Ray although he was a brilliant skater and I enjoyed his routines, can't take that away from him. But......his constant grinning really got on my thunders lol. Must just be me I expect.

I agree 100%, I also thought that Ray was a good skater but he also got on my nerves with his constant grinning and how smug he was because he knew that he was a good skater. I think that a lot of us agree that it is not all about the skating but also about the person and their personality! Some people are just so much more endearing than others!

We will have to agree to differ on this then, because I thought that she was a very good skater as well as a great performer. One of the best routines ever was her Slumdog Millionaire dance (I think that was what it was called anyway, when she got 5 6s right across the board). That was not just a great dance routine and performance but also fantastic skating as well! For me that has to be one of the best performances ever on dancing on ice!

Shocking isn't it - that Sam actually wants to win the show. And you think Laura and Chloe don't. What is wrong with wanting to win the thing - its so British to think this is a bad thing.
Sam should win in my view - because he is the best skater. He was streets ahead of the others tonight.
And in my view that's the only criteria that matters - who performs best on the ice. Others will have different opinions on who is better - but Sam supposedly being arrogant (or even as one poster put it having a nice bum) or Laura 'being beautiful' (as one thread here is entitled)' or Chloe being 'stunning' (as another thread is entitled) should not be a relevant factor in people's decisions.
Not really a fan of him but he was way better then Chloe and Laura in the solo skate

Well he didn't do it properly, and ended up in second place
Plus it was on Ultimate Skills Week - he should have focussed on those, but he was too desperate to impress and regain his top place

Think the producers want him to win, but we want Laura to win. The judges aren't going to have as much power likewise with producers and we will have the final decision next week.
I like both Laura and Sam and cannot decide who I want to win. It depends on what they do on the day.

Me too and they marked her so high. Can't say I noticed any skating!
I don't having anything against Sam's competitiveness or the fauxmance and I do think at his best he is the best skater in the show. However, I just find him a bit 'dull'!
I was just bemused by the fauxmance - I'd never seen him in EastEnders so much like Laura and Chloe - I had no idea who he was. He's not the first skater to be good from the get- go but I remember loving everything about Chris Fountain and I loved seeing Maria and Ray - I do find Sam a touch dull and I just can't warm to him.
I think he's had good routines except for the ridiculously frenetic Crash Bang Wallop routine. My least favourite routine from T&D for him.
I think it says a lot for brianne that she's brought through 2 people to the latest stages of the competition and she's only been in 2 years??
I think that Laura and Chloe have improved more, from where they started - unless they are saving a Robin Cousins jump for Sam for the final ?
