That was not just a great dance routine and performance but also fantastic skating as well! For me that has to be one of the best performances ever on dancing on ice!”

Indeed we will differ. The dancing in Jai Ho was great, most of it while stationary- the skating was minimal and technically not difficult. A great performance, though not to my taste but not great skating.

Tonight he really demonstrated that - as well as technically adept, I think he is also quite graceful & elegant, particualrly for someone so tall.

Unfortunately, in this series, Laura has been so over-marked and over-hyped by the judges (for some weird reason) - he hasn't had the praise & marks he deserves (IMO).
I find Laura very 'clumpy' to watch - no grace & elegance at all. I think Chloe is much better than her.”

I agree with your opinion of Sam but I totally disagree with your opinion of Laura!

In my opinion Laura is far more elegant and graceful than Chloe. She actually dances on the ice and performs each routine in an appropriate manner to the music.

I agreed with Jason's comments about Chloe; her arms, legs, head positioning and overall performances were not as good as usual.

I agree, Laura does the whole performance, skating, dancing etc. Chloe looks the same every week, no performance at all. Chloe can skate but Laura beats her in every department imo.

What's off putting is like someone said - he feels the top place 'belongs' to him

Laura caught up with him one week and they were joint first - so the following week he wanted to 'give himself some breathing space' and pulled out the headbanger - thinking he'd pull into the lead again

Well he didn't do it properly, and ended up in second place

Plus it was on Ultimate Skills Week - he should have focussed on those, but he was too desperate to impress and regain his top place

Hayley on This Morning said in the solo routine Sam was going to shock. Well he's good, but he wasn't jaw dropping, and he cut the hydro glide short by falling onto his back, then rolling onto his knees, where he continued to 'dance' - where's the skating in that:confused:

Having said all that, I do think the right three people have made the final - should be an exciting night, first time we've had a final where three
have an equal chance of winning”

I though Donal's hydroglide was better than Sam's, although Sam is a better skater than him overall. I didn't see the point in the breakdancing stuff either. When Kyran did it in Bille Jean it fitted into the routine & choreography but Sam just seemed to throw it in at the end for no effect. I know it's not necessarily his fault as he doesn't get given the choreography but still.

I think the body popping stuff was just choreographed in in case his hydroglide went wayward.

He's cocky and arrogant and the "fauxmance" with Brianne was a pathetic and desperate way of getting attention and column inches. I think this explains why the judges have been quite luke warm to him in recent weeks. The sulks when he doesn't get top scores annoy me, and he's not even that good looking either.

As much as I think that Johnson should go tonight, I wouldn't too upset if Sam went instead”

He annoys me too and while I agree he's not as good as Ray or Chris, he is miles better than Hayely.

Quite a fair assessment if I must say so. Now the final consists of the Gold, Silver and Bronze contestants. Whoever wins deserves to be commended. Btw was there a voting breakdown last night and what were the overall vote totals?

They don't release any voting figures until the end of the series, although Laura must have been ahead of Chloe.

Thanks, my perception is although Laura's name got called 2nd she may actually have had a higher overall score than Sam. Who knows? Laura may even pip Sam to the post.

Even though I haven't watched this years series I can see him winning, being given a big hype as they usually do by whom those in charge want to win.

They worse case of this was when Kyran Bracken won despite being third best on the night, but still won.

Besides the sequence of winners so far are Gaynor Faye. Kyran Bracken, Suzanne Shaw, Ray Quinn, Hayley Tammadon so logic suggest they will want a male winner this year.

That's exactly what I thought. It did seem as if it was choreographed in such a fashion as to 'cover up' any mishaps that could have occurred. In fact, in my opinion, it looked clumsy and didn't strike me with the 'wow' factor at all.

I have to say as much as I really like Laura I also thought that she looked quite clumsy at times in her solo skate and I also agree that she was overmarked, especially as they marked Chloe so much lower when there did not seem to be a lot between the two of them.

I think that both Chloe and Laura have improved massively but Chloe had a bad week this week in her duo dance, mainly because Michael slipped. It would be great if both girls skated and performed their best next week because I would love one of these two to win.

But I do have a feeling that it will be Laura that pips both Sam and Chloe to win!

No. I don't like him either. I'd never heard of him before this. I don't watch soaps. I just can't take to the lad at all.

I really don't get all the accusations of arrogance about Sam. If he said he was bad, he'd be abused for false modesty. If he didn't aim for the hardest tricks, he'd be accused of playing it safe. If he didn't use all his dance skills, he'd be lambasted for trying to cover up his background.

All I see personally is a fairly shy lad with little live TV experience, who finds himself quite good at something, and has found it tough to stomach the pressure that being pushed and pushed to do harder stuff has put on him.

When you think about it, Laura's been on live TV loads, and Chloe is a reality show veteran. They're probably more used to the idea that you need to put yourself over in a certain way for these sorts of show, whereas Sam's an actor used to being someone else on screen. All the performances where he's had to get into character he's done a good job.

As for the skating, I thought Sam's performances were far and away the best of last night's crop, and if the produces the same next week, I will be picking up the phone for the first time in ages to vote for him.

Nobody says you have to like the same people, but I for one am proud to have rediscovered my liking for Sam

Chris fountain was my all time favourite.

I didnt care too much for Ray Quinn or Hayley Tammadon, but when Ray did the 'Use somebody' routine & when Hayley did the 'Jai ho' routine i have to admit they were both good skating even if i didnt like them.

Sam i get the feeling loves himself clearly and what was all that with him and Brianne saying that they were a a couple then they got a few mag deals then said it was over?? I even saw a cover of them in heat Magazine i bet they got paid for.
I liked them at the start of the comp and thought their relationship was cute but not anymore. And Sams constant complaining is so annoying for e.g when he dropped the hat and didnt include the steps jane and chris told them to do.
Sam only appologised to Jason about the hat comment on sunday to get the public to like him again. Ofcourse hes not sorry.. just knew its all a popularity contest. And because him and Laura were in the bottom two the week before he knew he had to zip it on sunday to make it to the final and.. It worked for him.

All i'm saying is Chloe never complains just smiles all the time with her partner. They are very cute,
