The final three have been choosen and they are the right three without any question but I feel really sad to see Johnson go; he was such a lovely contestant and his progress was incredible. Well done Johnson on getting so far and I'm sad to see you go.

We were all tearing up on Twitter!

That was quite an emotional goodbye

I'm not.

I'll be up partying until the early hours! Laura's in the final without a semi-final skate off

I think whoever would have gone, I would have been sad about. They all deserved to be there.

I liked little Jodeyne - hope she comes back next year.

same, I'm glad Johnson's gone but its so sad. He's genuinely such a nice guy, compared to Jeff and Sam who just come across as arrogant and competitive, Johnson was clearly in it just to have a good time. Really like Jodeyne aswell

I agree, sad he had to go, but it was his time. He did very well and achieved a lot, he should be very proud of all he achieved.

Me too.

I have nothing but admiration for the man.

Another one who's sad to see him go. I think we're all agreed he was the weakest skater left but, given from where he came from he deserved his place in the SF regardless of what some on here might want us to believe.

Good luck Johnson, and Well done.

It was probably right for him to leave today, but I shall miss him and his natural, warm personality.

I'm kind of glad he made it this far, but it wouldn't have been right for him to have won over Chloe tonight.

I was tearing up and i thought he should have left ages ago.. it was definately the right decision but he is such a lovely and genuinely sweet guy and jodeyne is just soo cute too that they made a sweet couple.. i found it almost unbearable to watch them leave even though i wanted them too :s

Gutted to see him go. Why could it not of been Mr fake instead. Still the solo skating was set for the chosen Sam to make the final.

Johnson is a true role model in every sense and it would be nice if for once a nice guy won one of these shows.

Praying Laura wins now.

My thoughts entirely.

I'm not sad, he got to the semi final, which is further than he should have got on his skating ability, so he should be pretty pleased with that

Much as I have admiration for him from his military endeavours, the best three skaters are in the final which is as it should be.

In reality he should have gone weeks ago but I'm glad he didn't. I think this has been a significant help in his brain training and it was indeed inspirational to watch him progress each week, processing and remembering increasing complexity.

I think he benefitted more than the show but I hope many others have benefitted from seeing him on it.

Best three skaters through but I really enjoyed watching Johnson. Glad he got as far as he did.

And thank you OP for a positive thread. It's lovely to see on here

Lovely guy, but imho he should have gone before Jeff who was a very competent skater.

Is it really that big a deal that Jeff left 1 week earlier than he should have though?

No I don't think so. We'll see more of him than ever whereas it's likely the last you hear of Johnson unless he is made a goodwill ambassador for something or other.
