It was great to see Robin showing a clip of himself from his skating past (Does anyone know if he still skates?). I was a huge fan of his when I was in my teens and I remember being distraught when he failed to make the treble in 1980, when he came second in he world championship. I saw him when he was in Cats-he was a great dancer

Yes he does still skate - but he has had several operations on his knees which means he can't do his huge jumps any more

I must admit - with the solo skate last night - I really hoped they would get him on the ice ..... and my hopes were raised when they said the T&D skate would be a collaboration - I really thought it my him skating with T&D..... - and we got chuffing sand painting........

Even a cut down Cousins would be fantastic to see - he can still dance brilliantly - and I'd love to see him skate in public again... (and I'd like to see Barber and Slater skate again too!)

A few people have asked him about this on Twitter & he said he'd be quite open to it. Obviously he can't be rolling out his big jumps & backflips & the like but I'm sure he would still be wonderful. I mean T&D are not as good as they were in their prime either.

I would also have loved for him to have done some choreography for the solo skates last night too as well as giving them advice.

How about Robin as an SCD contestant?

now that I would LOVE to see, but it's probably a bit of an unfair advantage if he's done professional musicals

From T & D Twitter:

We have asked Robin to create the opening number for the tour this year.
Should be interesting for a routine choreographed by someone other than T & D

Robin is amazing I would love to see him do a routine on the show; some of his routines from the past were breathtaking.

I had the pleasure of seeing him take part in his last ever professional competition in the Docklands many years ago. Very clever choreography. Would love to see him skate again... dodgy knees or no

I remember sitting up to watch him in the Olympics all those years ago. I was knitting a powder blue cardigan in feather and fan stitch for my young daughter at the time and whenever I see Robin I think of that blinking cardigan! Isn't it funny how things stick in your mind?

Robin also confirmed yesterday that he is playing the role of Teen Angel in the Grease UK tour for a few Months after the Tour has finished.

I thought this was absolutely beautiful. Easily my fave T&D routine so far this series.

But I would love to see Robin skate again. I thought it was a bit bizarre that we saw him advising the contestants about solo skating ... in a pair of trainers!
