But isn't that contradictory?
The OP asked if anyone votes on the actual performance on the night as opposed to a favourite.
You consider you do that - then go onto say that even when your favourite makes an odd mistake they still get your vote. Does that apply even if your favourite drops down the leaderboard and is clearly not best on the night?
I've voted every week for Laura and until he was eliminated for Johnson too. I've also voted for Sam more than once.
Laura because she has never been lower than 2nd in the leaderboard and even though Sam has sometimes proved a superior skater he hasn't shown similar personality/performance skills. I was also shocked to see her in the skate off despite equal 2nd place on the leaderboard in week 6. I determined then that I'd try to make my vote count.
Johnson because I admired him. I admired his work ethic, his courage, his determination to overcome his problems and the vast improvement he made.
I questioned some of Sam's foolish publicity seeking, just as I was irritated last week when he went on about reclaiming top spot on the leaderboard but he can without question turn in an electrifying technical performance and I feel he deserves a place in the final.
