I just came across this news on another forum and I'm quite shocked, annoyed, disappointed etc...

She really has the musical integrity of a peanut doesn't she? It will be her 3rd album in two years and guess what! It will be released just in time for the X-Factor live shows! She's such a money and fame grabbing tool. She does a round of 'cry fest' promotion to kick her album campaigns off, mimes a few performances, makes a decent amount of cash then sods off to make the next album when she has no more sob stories left to tell.

I REALLY hope the 3rd album signals the end of her. Her last single only got to #18 in the charts. I know the 3rd album will probably have some amount of success but I just hope the public finally see through her and say 'who cares'?

Wonder if she'll give up on it after only ONE single this time

Her solo career is so half hearted and there is talented "passionate about their craft" artists out there without a record deal. Where is the justice huh?

They usually go on X Factor because it is the only way to make it but then they aren't called credible artists. You could say Cheryl being a mentor helped the very talented Alexandra Burke become a star.

You're kidding right? Her mentoring basically consists of saying meaningless things like 'you're right up my street'. She is not hands on like Dannii.

I think Cheryl is pretty good
She isn't the best singer in the world but definatly not the best. But she can definatly perform.
And I don't see nothing wrong with Cheryl releasing it in time for X factor because isn't promotion what all artists do?

I'd take that with a pinch of salt until it's confirmed then.

3 albums in 2 years says it all really. Some of the biggest acts in the world would release 3 albums in a decade.

It wouldn't shock me. I have nothing against an album every year personally speaking taking time does not always mean quality (Bowie's Berlin trilogy was released in relative quick succession) but in this case I think we know the fast release it's to save a flop/strike while the irons hot for money.

Poor Cheryl, always the product and never the seller. (Oh wait, I have no sympathy for her)

I'm not sure why releasing one album a year is seen as excessive? Lots of artists do it, particularly popstars. And it's not like Cheryl writes her own material, her record label will be swamped with songs from different producers.

Anyway, I'm quite looking forward to this. Her first album was very good. The second was a lot weaker, but still had five or six good songs. I thought she'd go for a re-release actually, so I'm pleasantly surprised that it looks like a brand new album. It's just a shame that she didn't release Yeah Yeah, it was my favourite song from the album and probably would have been massive.

I agree Yeah Yeah should be released. Accordng to the Metro who did a review, it's out today. There isn't a video so I assume it was scrapped.

I don't believe the story either.

But oh-so unsurprising. I mean, she's not exactly doing it for the sake of music, is she? Just doing everything she can to cash in on her baffling current fame. All publicity and no quality.

Chery's star is on the decrease now. It always happens. Someone shines bright for a while then they fade away. With Kate Middleton about to become our new princess and Posh on her way back to the UK. Cheryl will no longer be the golden girl of the press. She was only ever a replacement for Posh anyway as she moved out to L.A and the press lost their girl so needed a substitute.

I'm not a die hard fan but I don't want to wish failure on anyone. And it'll be interesting to see how well the 3rd album does. Truthfully, I think the novelty of her has worn off a bit since 3 Words came out. Also, I think her behaviour on the last UK X Factor didn't do her popularity any favours. I mean it got to the point where she was instantly demoted from golden girl to a hate figure circa Gamugate/Trey-C Gate/Wagner-Gate. I think if she tones her look/tattoos down a bit along with her confrontational holier than thou attitude then she can improve her success, ok, maybe she's not the best singer, but I think she could do well on TV. She should look to Dannii as an example of a great judge and mentor, is it any wonder she won most popular judge on the last XF?

I think the UK press are actually on a mission to be negative about Cheryl at any cost thesedays and I think its because she went on diva on them by refusing to talk to any reporters whenever on a red carpet. She isn't really at the status to get away with tricks like that.

If it's released in August, it's clearly not going to be released just in time for the live finals is it? It would have been out months before the first show.

Why on earth would anyone be surprised anyway. She released both of her albums a year apart, both of which have sold very well. The format clearly works for her so no wonder there going to do it again and again and again.

This news seems to have come out of no where anyway. Why would she release it in August and not October like usual?
