Blackberry Curve - New icons in menu
I downloaded the latest version of Blackberry App Store last night, as the phone let me know about an update.
However, as well as the updated store app, I have 3 new icons at the bottom of the menu screen now, that weren't there before I did the download. I've a Virgin Media icon called Music Sync, once called 100% Games, and lastly one called Bubble Bash 2.0. I've definitely not downloaded these, but they were not there before the download, and I don't want to open them in case they're dodgy. Anyone else had this? |

Sounds like crapware rather than anything malicious. If you are not interested then delete them if you can.

More than likely service book icon that have been pushed to your device.
These cannot be deleted, but hidden. |

Not to derail your thread, but I'm thinking of getting one of these - are they any good?

the same thing just happened to me.
its really annoying they have just installed games like Bubble Bash 2.0 and it won't let you delete them! I hid them from the menu because they're ugly. will these sort of things but taking up memory on the phone? @chocdoc yeah i love mine, would definitely recommend it. Its even better if you have friends with blackberrys for bbm

Thanks for the help everyone. I've moved the icons into the Games & Media folders and will forget about them.
And, yes, I'd definitely recommend a Blackberry. Having the e-mail push is something I don't think I could do without now. |

These pieces of shit have been driving me MAD! I did not give permission for them to be installed, I consider them to be spam of the worst order and the most annoying thing of all is, every time I delete them in 'service book' and they go, about two weeks later they are back all of a sudden as they completely crash my phone, only taking the battery out will make it work again and it takes about 5 minutes to re-start, and when I re-start...there they are again!
I am seriously cross these are seeming to damage my phone and they have been put there by a third party without my permission. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of them permanently? |
