Karen Barber in Closer magazine

Eeep!

The idea of Karen Barber posing in nothing but a feather boa is not up there with the greatest idea's of all time. It's great that she's finally proud of her body after all these years, but I think there are better ways to show that pride off

Well, I kind of know how she feels about that sort of thing. As a size 16 (who used to be a lot thinner) I'm hardly breaking any pavements...but I still often end up buying accessories just cos I can't bear to see how lumpy I look in yet another fab dress (Yes, I know I should lose weight.)

I think it's just what feels and looks wrong to you, personally, that stops you buying clothes. As an athlete I expect Karen was an awful lot thinner than she was til recently, so moving away from that norm probably made her feel less attractive.

EDIT: I don't think the pics are bad. Not sexy, but quite glamorous in a burlesque way. They probably made her feel a million dollars, although I do agree that doesn't mean the rest of us will feel the same way about them

She looks fantastic - she was pretty when young and has retained her good looks - don't see much evidence of lines around the eyes.

Who's Sherrie?

I presume they mean Sherrie from loose women, there was a pic of her too, a little further down the page.
Karen looks great too.

Why do these older women have to flash the skin in tacky photoshoots

Sherrie's pick looks photoshopped to within an inch of recognition - either that or she's been under the knife.

Good for 60 but the legs are a dead giveaway and I reckon a closer look might reveal bingo wings.
