She was a guest panellist on The Wright Stuff this morning. When Matthew Wright asked her who she was backing to win, she waffled a bit but, when pressed to name her winner, she said Sam. Matthew was in agreement.

She has been tweeting that for ages. She regularly tweets how wonderful his routines are each week, so that's no real surprise really. When Ray Quinn was on This Morning with her three or four weeks ago, he praised Laura of the three finalists so I guess they all have their supporters from previous years.

I think he said Vanilla Ice was his favourite contestant, though.

He did, but I did say of the three finalists, and Laura was the one he mentioned. I imagine as a performer himself he would like a natural performer like Vanilla Ice.

What matters is who the public vote for I hope either of the girls win

That's a bit unprofessional amd will probably work against her in the public vote.

For you maybe but not the gbp, they will hang onto Robin's every word, after all, he is the judge who knows what he is talking about.

There is something I really don't like about Sam. I can't put my finger on what it is.

That's why he shouldn't have said it. He's given Laura the advantage before the final has even started.
This is not Laura's fault of course. Only Robin is to blame. As a judge on the show he should be impartial.

To be fair I didn't watch it, I think it depends on the exact question asked, was it 'who do you think will win?' or 'who do you want to win?'. If it was the latter then, yes, it was unprofessional.

Oh FFS stop with the conspiracy theories people just because Robin didn't name your favourite. The judges are human not robots so will have their favourites but as long as they judge on the performances they see on the night what's the problem. Despite Laura being his 'favourite' he marked Sam higher in the Semi & Chloe the week before so he is still judging & marking fairly.

Rant over.

Just watched the recording a little while ago and the actual question asked was 'Who's your winner? so it's a little ambiguous although Emma did clarify after she said Laura that it was based on what people had been saying to her.

They are entitled to an opinion just like us. Their marks don't count in the final do they ?

I have no conspiracy theory and I don't really mind who wins. I was simply agreeing with another poster that Robin is well respected and liked and so people will value his opinion.
I know I do. There's no need to swear at me. I've always thought of you as a very reasonable poster and feel quite upset that you would speak like this.

Sorry if I offended you but I just get irritated with the conspiracy theory element, not only what's been posted in this thread but also the accusations in another thread (which I know didn't come form you) that Robin was aware of Laura's experience in pantos etc. but was ignoring this & deliberately lying to/misleading the audience.

No problem. No hard feelings. I'm not clever enough to have theories

I don't take much notice of Hayley's views. She said on This Morning last Friday that (in the solo spot) Sam would shock a lot of people. Well I wasn't blown away - what was the break dancing about? It was supposed to showcase us his skating skills, yet he's rolling about on his back and dancing on his knees

no he didn't pick her .. after Robin said Laura and Emma said that Laura was standing out, Jason said

"interestingly enough a lot of people have said to me that they loved Chloe as she represents somebody they can relate to, worked hard and been the one who shocked them the most" or something like that .. and Robin and Emma agreed
