It IS in Ireland, though quite how Shell would know it, and, more to the point, how that would influence BB UK, is beyond me.

Yep - Just looked up my diary and only mentions Bank Holiday today for the Rep. of Ireland.

If you had any sense (which these HM's obviously don't) I would be prepared for an eviction at any time of the day or night between now and Friday night. They should all do their goodbyes now just in case.
