So my iPhone went for a wash in the washing machine last month, for a week after the accident the phone didnt work at all but now there is some signs of life in the phone. When I connect it to my laptop iTunes comes up saying " iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, you must restore it" I've tried to recover the phone, "restoreing iPhone".
My insureance didnt cover me because it happened on the 14th day of the 14 day policy exclusion period.
So I'm just wondering whats the best way or the best place is to get it repaired? I've looked at a few websites on the net such as Games world direct, and Mobile Ease LTD. The nearst apple store is about 100 miles aways, so thats out of the question.

It is possible that the OP made a claim that was unsuccessful (not checking the small print). If you haven't made a claim SMcginn03, then spaceman05 is right... there is no way the insurance firm would know if it took place during this period. However, it would technically be fraud if you did fib!

I no some market stalls will repair iPhones at a reasonable rate, so it could be worth investigating any near you. Having said that, water damage can be near unfixable. If the water has got into lots of different parts of the phone, more components may need replacing than are actually undamaged!
