Freesat + single feed mode?
Probably dead obvious to anyone who has one, but does any freesat + box need switching to single feed mode (if being used on a single feed) like the Sky+HD?
Thanks in advance. |

For the Humax you use a short loop cable to connect LNB1 out to LNB2 in. I use that arrangement and it seems fine.

Thanks in advance. When you install the box the presence of a single feed is detected. The loop cable is assumed to be present connecting tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in, if not it won't work properly. Unlike a Sky box two channels (with some restrictions) can be recorded and also a few 3rd channels can be watched live while recording two. If you add a 2nd cable later you need a factory reset (or a setting change in one of the secret menus) to set up two cable working. More info http://myhumax.org/forum/topic/what-...-1-or-2-cables |
