It's a sad day. Another Beatle has died. George Harrison has suffered with Cancer over the last few years and he has blammed it on heavy smoking. According to the news reports that he died at a friends home last at 4.30am LA time.

Saddly missed, but his music with the Beatles and his solo stuff will live on.

The Beatles music has shaped all modern music and a lot of people don't recognise this.

He had stopped smoking recently hadn't he?

Another great gone.
Some would say he shaped the later sound of the beatles which I prefered to the earlier poppier sound that they produced...

He wrote some good songs too. The best of the Beatles in my opinion and will be missed.

Agreed a very sad day, a much underated cog in the Beatle machine.

It's amazing how many personal tradgedies have befallen the Beatles from Ringo's problems with drink and drugs, Paul losing the love of his life way to early, John untimely death and Georges battle with cancer and lunatic house breakers
