that's a good TV if you can stand an EPG with adverts in it. Panasonics are hard to beat otherwise.
See if John Lewis will price match and get the free five year guarantee.

There is no such thing as a free 5 year warranty.

When I was looking for a new tv just before Christmas, the Panny I got was on sale at Currys for around £200 less than what I paid with a 'free 5 year warranty' I asked the guy in the shop if their price included a 5 yearer and he said it wasn't but could sell me one for about £210 which would have put the price over that of JL and the shop I eventually bought from.

This is NOT one of those times where you buy cheap and get cheap. The G20 range are superb TVs (I have the 42), they are on clearance to make way for this year's models.

PCWorld are currently selling the 42G20 for £499. When they were introduced this time last year the 42 was around £1050 and the 50 £1200.

I price matched at JL with the price of a TV from Currys without extra warranty and got a five year guarantee from JL included.
Guess on the day I got a good deal..
