Her nerves just get the better of her most of the time. I really think she's going to come third now. Suzanne only won because she was exceptional in the final, and I can't see that happening for Chloe now. She has lost what little confidence she had.

Well she's had three 4th places and last week was 3rd out of four so it's not surprising that she's not been considered a front runner although she did of course claim a controversial 1st place in props week.

If all 3 finalists perform to their highest level then I don't think she can win; however if she recaptures the public vote who knows? There have been unexpected winners in the past - it could happen again.

Why do you consider her 1st place in props week controvercial? .. is that just because you thought she didn't deserve it or has there been something in the press about it being controvercal

I know I'm a Chloe fan, but I do think she deserved her 1st place that week ... as was said by both Chris and Robin she had what they considered to be the trickiest props and she skated a nice clean routine which they marked as they saw fit in comparison the the other routines on the night

and just to prove I'm not a biased Chloe fan.. I thought that her 3rd place in the semi finals was the right position as both Sam & Laura had superior solo skates and her pairs skate was ambitious but too crammed with faffy tricks which made it a bit messier than usual .. plus she fell


as for if she's in a similar position to Suzanne Shaw .. I think that Suzanne was more of a certainly for a final 2 place .... I think that Chloe is probably the underdog of the final .. I would like to see her win but not sure she will .. especially seeing as they're doing a big performanc based number each and out of the final three she's the only one without any performance experience and for me her strenghts are more her balletic pairs skating with Michael and not the more showy type of routines that I think will win the show for whoever does the best, trick filled one in the final as that's what seems to appeal a lot of the time to the viewing public

I think Suzanne was a little different from Chloe if I'm being honest. Neither Chris nor Suzanne had ever been in the bottom two; they had both been scoring highly and consistantly. I don't know the public vote figures for that year but I wouldn't be surprised if Chris had won every week in the voting /except/ for the final. On the night of the final Suzanne was just incredible and I think that night and her performances on that night won her the show.

For heavens sake - give it a rest. Seems I can no longer post an opinion on Chloe without one or other of her fans picking my comments apart and perceiving criticism.

You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine - and imo her 1st place was controversial because: [LIST][*]we'd seen most of those moves before, accomplished by Zaraah Abrahams in series 3 - plus a trickier one when she had to catch the hoop and she used two props in unison.[*]she did little with the rope - the only move that impressed was when she twisted it around her waist and back.[*]her transitions are rarely smooth and it was par for the course that week.[/LIST]
No problem with the judges marking as they saw fit - but I'm allowed to disagree and I fail to see why anyone considered her props trickier than some others. To hark back to Zaraah she coped with the hula hoop and a couple of batons years ago.

Can't for the life of me imagine why a hoop and a rope should be considered trickier than a table and a couple of chairs, a mike, stool and hat, or chair and cane (used in unison.)

For what it's worth .. I agree, Zaraah's props routine was lovely and if she performed it aganst Chloe she would probably have scored higher .. but the fact is that she didn't and Chloe's routine was judged against the performances that particular week

So thanks for clarifying that it was a personal opinion that her placing on the leaderboard was controvercial .. that's all I asked .. but seeing as I seem to be hitting a nerve I'll refrain from entering into any further discussions with you on the board if it upsets you that much

I agree .. I liked both Suzanne & Chris but Suzanne's style of performing was more to my personal taste .. either one would have been a deserved winner but on the night I think that Suzanne's flying routine was gorgeous and may have tipped it for her

Controversial. Chloe's routine was the best on the night. Laura was stuck sitting on the chair, which limited her freedom of movement somewhat.

Chloe was never a favourite of mine and I've never pretended otherwise, but I've posted enough positive comments about her to make clear that imo her place in the final is justified and that whatever the level at which she performs if the GBP vote for her in sufficient numbers to crown her champion, her success will be deserved; but that's not enough is it? Anything perceived as less than fulsome praise is pounced upon, questioned and explanations demanded.

Chloe got the best props, no doubt about it.

I honestly don't think it was the best prop. A skipping rope and the other thing (can't think of the name), seem very uninspired. However, as many others have mentioned, maybe the choreography is at fault. I generally dislike the hat as a prop, but the broom (which shouldn't work has actually produced two good routines so far). I think it's more what T&D choreograph with the prop that matters, and how it is executed IMO obviously.

.. and I'm not necessarily saying that other people weren't just as good on the night.

and chloe is a better skater and performer than bonnie langford 2,so my answer is no shes not like suzanne shaw.

I do agree it is down to the choreography but you can do so much more with a hoop and a skipping rope as was seen in Chloe's routine. Apart from anything else, they haven't been used very much before so it was something relatively new whereas the chair, table and hat are 'very old hat'

I always thought Laura was more of a Suzanne, although of course, Laura is Laura and Suzanne is Suzanne.

But you have Sam, generally first on the leaderboard, the pretty boy, good skater, not so much of a dancer. And then there's Laura, generally second on the leaderboard, almost as good a skater, better performer and dancer. Considered the outsider in the media, favourite for the fans.

For me Chloe isn't like Suzanne at all. Both have their merits though, but for me where Suzanne flourished in her flying performance Chloe fell flat in her solo skate, sadly it exposed her.

In terms of the Chris/ Suzanne stuff back in Seires 3; I would say Laura is more akin to Suzanne.

Suzanne as a constant 2nd place to Chris throughout most of the compeititon - same as Laura to Sam (barring 2 weeks).

Chloe is more Duncan James to Sam being Chris and Laura being Suzanne

I think Suzanne may have passed him in the vote in the SF or the week she did Music - not quite sure why but its my impression. That year was a race and she chased him down in the marks in week 7 , had a good story in week 8 and a great routine in week 9 - and the chase and her own injuries along the way give her a better story by the SF. She goes into the final with the best routine in music and she can add to her headbanger because she's had 3 iterations of it to develop it.

Chloe lost momentum in SF week - but I am not convinced Laura or Sam have that much either. It depends what ground the final is fought over - if its best routines, Chloe's week 8 27 looked more vote winning to me than the other 2's week 9 28s - and their 28s came in SF week and they may not be allowed to repeat them so early. However if her 27 comes in props week and they can't use that either, will one of Chloe's other dances do well enough? Not sure what routines for anyone were that memorable, and which they could develop as effectively. If its fought over with new routines, it may come down to who gets the best new one given them.

Chloe has already confirmed that she is doing her Kiss Kiss routine in the DS final three video and I think Laura is doing the 'I'm so excited' routine....I'd guess Sam would do Riverdance? That's in addition to their showcase......before the final two.

Definitely a better skater than Bonnie - but performer - no.

Bonnie fell into a similar trap to Suzanne due to poor choreography byT&D - too many lifts not enough skating. Fortunately in Suzanne's case Nicky Slater controversially marked her down before we saw that her skating was actually very good indeed.

Unfortunately no judge drew similar attention to Bonnie's routines. She topped the leaderboard 5 times in eight weeks (including the final) and came 2nd on three occasions - but this was by virtue of some jaw dropping lifts. She was of course as light as a feather and had spent a lifetime dancing so her performance skills were phenomenal. Add to that her brilliant partnership with Matt Evers and his amazingly ability to showcase his partners and she sparkled without ever actually learning to skate.

She rectified this after series 1 finished by continuing lessons and showed that she had the ability to become a very respectable skater.
