Jones is going to be well peed off when it is explained to him how the suicide of 4 years ago couldn't have been.

He's been pretty thick tonight.

Prefer the new Barnaby was never a Nettles fan and great not to have the wife and daughter being given jobs to fit the episode.
His wife is arriving in the next episode i think, and she will be a big part of the village.

can you believe jone a det sgt would think it was a suicide & not have the area cordoned off til it was no longer a crime scene of some sort & for the mother & here aged daughter (clara paget aged 25 in real life from what i can find) to be able to clean the car is a joke....very poor episode

I'm loving this dog - the way he keeps looking back and forward between Barnaby and Jones as they talk.

Oh dear, I don't get this. Why does this "Charlie" need such help getting ready and to be honest looks like a bit of a tart.

I am a massive Midsummer fan, but as a debut episode for the new Barnaby, its a little rubbish to be honest. I cant seem to get into it at all. Plus, why is Jones acting really stupid ?

Loving the dog though.

Yea if this is the things to come I'm going to stick with the repeats with John Nettles. This is very poor, why do companies thinks it's a good idea to change a winning formula?

It's Harvey! From the advert about the power of television advertising, if it rings any bells. Shows him doing the ironing and the washing and stuff...I'm sure it is.

I'm struggling to get into the show at the minute, but I'll persevere and see how it goes.

When the leading actor leaves???

I'm liking the changes so far, normally I'm only half listening if at all by now.

They seem to be re-cycling old guest actors tonight - Samantha Bond and the woman playing Harriet Wingate.
Was Samantha Bond in the teatime repeat shown yesterday & today?

Yes - I read in an earlier post that it was Harvey. And it's my favourite ad!! If he lived with me (and my 2 dogs and 3 cats) he'd never need to do any ironing.
I've got the others well trained!

Yes, that was the last straw and turned this crap off. I'm going to stick with the previous episodes and not watch this crap.

How many adverts are ITV allowed to interrupt their programs?

Brilliant - Harvey in the advert break (at least he is in "my" region).

Yep.. I could have imagined it from Troy or Scott (but Tom would have stopped them), but not Jones.

Aye i hadn't realised in my excitement that somebody else had pointed out who the dog was, and i went and posted without reading the rest of the thread. Sorry.

Is he the same dog in the Peter Kaye advert, can't remember what it's flogging, but it shows a crufts type event and he's sent to get a newspaper?

Other half's got bored, and switched over onto something else.
