One thing that was weird about the new episode... Why was Gagan's family relationship to Jeremy never brought up? He was her uncle (his wife was the sister of her mum), but it sounded like they only met through the astronomy society and that they worked together in their group of four like friends?

And what on earth was Jones dressed in at the end . I thought the lady ( Kay?) said dress to impress , but he was dressed like a tramp , or is weraring a v neck T shirt with a formal jacket and jeans supposed to be trendy . It certainly didn't look it.
Ha yes I thought so to. I half expected him to go the other way and turn up in a tuxedo (which when all's said and done would've been better).

I never usually watch it but I am thoroughly enjoying this, some good actors in it too.

I thought tonight's episode was good; seems to be back on track after some of the dire offerings we've had recently.

Hope it continues to improve.

I think so; I hadn't seen it before, anyway, and it didn't say it was a repeat in the TV listings.

Was a bit boring in places, I went off to make toast at one point and don't feel I missed anything.

One thing I didn't see the point of. Mrs B had a 'delivery' from the gigolo and Jones was sat outside groaning, so I got the impression the guy had been inside a while. Apparently not - fine - but it seemed a bit silly as it was obviously not going to be the case.

I haven't really watched any of this since the furore about the lack of non-white people so I was quite amused that tonight's ethnic person fitted nicely into the stereotype of handy with his tool and having good rhythm to boot...

Sadly I nodded off too. The same old..faded rock star/film star in the village, meeting in the village hall with the wife in tow and very inventive murders. It used to be fun and I never worried too much about the improbability of it all but maybe it should have gone to rest with Nettles. Although the dog's cute! And yes stereo "ethnic" stud and a nicely placed lady in a sari at the party.

I really liked tonight's episode - it was different and refreshing. I liked the few moments of comedy with Ben and when he was looking in on two people doing something fairly inhospitable near the OPEN window.

I can't wait for the next episode, 'The Sicilian Defense'.

The dog had the best parts in both this and the adverts inbetween.
I'm afraid the new "Barney Bee" seems as one dimensional as the old one. Though in this, Jones wasn't obliged to play "the village idiot" as has occasionally been the case in the past. He was just dull.

Sad that we've lost Joyce and Cully, their unnecessary contributions were at least an amusing talking point on here.

I fell asleep as well. Woke up and didn't seem to have missed much, only one corpse I think. I still don't know quite what it was all about, but with Midsomer it doesn't seem to really matter.
I don't dislike it, after all these years, we know it's not going to be a gripping thriller. But I would prefer it in a Sunday night slot myself, it sort of belongs there somehow.after Antiques Roadshow.

I miss the relationship between John Barnaby and Ben Jones- I don't think the new Barnaby has bonded with Jones yet , It is still early days for the revamped midsummer and we have seen it so sporadically it is difficult to take to the new changes- hopefully we will have a good run of uninterupted viewing for a few weeks- or will it be shelved for footie etc again -

I do miss dear old Cully, driving a mobile library, bringing yet another boyfriend home, getting a small part in the local dramatic club etc , etc. As much as I liked Joyce I have to admit that the new Mrs B is quite hot.

And I can't help wondering that the real life Cully is a very similar character to the one she played in MM

More ham than on a deli counter but it's always good for a mid week ccrime drama - I'm sticking with it.

It's lightweight and fun.

I actually sit and watch it now that Nettles & Co have left, their so called acting skills (imo) were dreadful.

last night's episode was probably the worst there's ever been...so totally inane and also ridiculously politically correct...disappointed the stud didn't say 'thank you maam' after servicing the local milfs.

I quite liked it actually but to be honest I thought it dragged on in some places... I watched it on +1 and fell asleep during the last quarter I think.

Could somebody please tell me who the killer is and what were their motive?

The daughter of the blonde sister who was actually the daughter of the other sister

She was killing everyone who she thought had ruined blonde sister's career

Just caught up with this ep tonight, and have to say it was about the corniest piece of ham acting seen on our TV screens for many a long year.

That being said, MM is always watched for the laughs in my house anyway, and this ep didnt disappoint.

Its silly fun, but not sure if its me, but it really feels like its running out of steam. It will be interesting to see if showing the balance of series 15 3 Wednesdays running will improve ratings. I suspect that there may be no series 16, on the off chance there is I suspect it will be the last.
